- Is your PC connected to your internet box by cable or by WiFi or by BPL ? (avoid WiFi and BPL which are not stable enough) ?
My computer is connected to the internet via ethernet cable
maybe try to google internet stability test or something and find one that gives you some more stats like jitter and packet loss it sounds like something is dropping out or getting lost.
you can run the troubleshooter in windows you just type troubleshoot settings in the search bar next to the windows logo and it should show up you can click on it then there should be a tab you can click on that says additional troubleshooters.
then run the one for internet connection and see if it finds any problems and fixes them.
there is also some command prompt stuff you can do to clear dns and idk other stuff lol you would have to google that and find it though i dont remember off the top of my head.
you could also just try resetting your router and see if that helps lol or maybe it has some kind of update through an app on your phone/config settings.
Do you have any other solution suggestions?
i had a similar problem when i was trying a t-mobile wifi hotspot service the internet service just idk constantly was disconnecting and reconnecting and just could not be used for gaming at all. i ended up having to cancel the service and go somewhere else.
i would call your internet service provider and let them know your having problems they might be able to reconfigure something or replace your router or something....
also just assuming you reset your router already by unplugging it for a min and plugging it back in do this if you have not.
you can try this if you have not already
Note that these commands affect all of your networking adapters, both physical and virtual, both used and unused, so you will see some errors when running these commands, where the resets targeted adapters that are not being used. These errors are perfectly normal, and not a cause for concern. Complete each step in order, even if you have done some of these previously, and even if you encounter errors.
In the search box on the taskbar click Start, type command prompt, right-click the command prompt result and then select Run as administrator and confirm.
At the command prompt (decline restarting your machine until you have entered the final command):
Type ipconfig /release and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /flushdns and press Enter.
Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter. (This will stall for a moment.)
Type netsh int ip reset and press Enter. (Don’t restart yet.)
Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter.
Now restart your machine using Start > Power > Restart once more and test to see if the issue is resolved
anyways that might work and it might not if you try this and it doesnt work the only thing left is basically the internet provider or bad router.
If you want, I can add you as a friend via DC and show it as a screen share at a time when you are available.
