Horrible update 1.9.0
This update must have been released to sabotage the game. It felt horrible even though I have a serious simulation background. The car literally moves like it's sliding on ice.

Vehicles can't be driven even with ready setups! Especially with "safe preset". Someone please tell me this is a joke.
I can't believe it, this is horrible... I won't be a part of this horrible experience until a new update comes out. Goodbye on the next time.....

When judging sims I like to listen to the real drivers.

So, what do the real GT3 drivers say is the best sim? I think we all know even if some are in denial.

Real drivers are paid to say things. Good advertisement. Also i am not in denial, AMS2 is MY favorite sim.

Not saying the above comment was pointed at me, just wanted to make that point.
ACC v1.9 is a step in the right direction I think. Racing and physics feels better now. Setup glitches are fixed (I hope). Have no problems using the preset setups. I don't use go-setups or any other pay setups like coach dave. ACC has many advantages, for example quick loading time and always find a full server to join and have good multiplayer racing. In terms of physics my 1st choice is rfactor2. It has much better FFB and the AIs are much better. But finding and joining a multiplayer race can be very frustrating in rf2. Mostly I host my own mp races and race with friends. Perfect for me.... But for public servers I go to ams2 and acc! All 3 sims are very good and each sim has it's own advantages. ams2 is perfect for vr Racing and you have a great varity of tracks and cars. Acc has the GT3/GT4 license and all known tracks rf2 is my hardcore physics sim, like to race against friends or ais too! There is no reason to hate one of them! AC/Raceroom/AMS1/iRacing are good too! I like all of them! When I should rank my top 3 I would say:
1: rf2 (physics/ffb/ai)
2: ams2 (vr perf./many tracks+cars/good online system/good sound+graphics+ffb+physics)
3: acc (very good multiplayer joining / many players / good physics, sound, graphcs)

But all points are very subjective and depends on used hardware and wheel...

I'm using: Fanatec CSL DD Boost / CSL Elite LC Pedals
The problem I have with sims in general is :
They are always the ultimate sim, more real than real. And an update or a new version comes : it is sooooooo better, so closer to reality lol

AI in rfactor2 is literally the worst out of any game I've ever played. They literally crash during safety laps...wtf??? I agree on good physics, but they're not better by ACC, not even close and everything else it toilet-level. It's by far the worst sim out there. Maybe good for online with friends as you said, but ugly HUD, no map, no save feature, no championship mode, no career, it has nothing. It's the most autistic game I've ever played. It has good physics and nothing else. I paid 7€ for it and feel ripped off lol. Good physics alone don't make a good racing game.

ACC has what no other sim has...a save button. This makes it the best sim out there. You can use it as a flashback feature like simcades and it also allows you to drive endurance races unlike rfactor2 and AMS2. I can make a 3 hour race and play it over the span of two weeks if I feel so. You have autonomy to decide how long you want to play.

Phyics of ACC were far above rfactor2 even before this update, now it's even less of a competition. AMS2 is generally not that good, but they have great stock cars that drive awesome. But they also have the same issue as rfactor2, no save button. Just not that intersting unless you drive 100% clean and expect the dumb AI to not crash into you randomly. It's not as bad as rfactor2, but still not optimal. ACC is the only sim that feels professional. Maybe iRacing too, I never bought it because it's really expensive but I've seen Lando Norris and Max Verstappen drive in it, so it must be pretty decent, at least physics wise.

AMS2 does nothing better than any other sim except (!!!) VR performance but has many graphics issues ( STILL !!! ) and that's it. FFB is utter garbage. Driving / physics feel so weird and off compared to any other sim title. Their price tag is absurd and a joke. Full game + extremly expensive season pass crap that includes so many tracks / cars / classes most people don't know or find interesting. In the end the performance in VR and on triples are a simply result of the mediocre graphics. They are good but so far away from ACC or a modded CSP + SOL AC...

And who cares about AMS2 online? This game is pretty much dead in online MP - for the listed reasons.

AMS2 could have been a very good sim but in the end, they delivered stuff most people don't need or are not interested in and added a price tag that is a joke.

The biggest joke in AMS2 is physics and FFB.
You can basically take most cars around the tracks like they are glued onto it. Driving on rails. Never played a game / sim that was so easy to handle cars because they simply stick to the track not matter what. Why should i even fiddle with setups here, when they are already sticky af ?!

i dont agree at all i think AMS2 is actually way better than ACC now personally.

for me the FFB is now ruined on ACC with my fanatec csl DD i did prefer ACC pre 1.9 but

yea honestly idk that i can even play ACC anymore i actually did not like 1.8 either 1.9 is much worse to me it actually feels much closer to AMS2 but just worse in most areas lol.

also you can pretty easy jump into a public lobby on ams2 and actually have fun i feel like ACC does not have the fun part anymore. if you dont want to have any fun play ACC lol grind your ass off just for them to completely change the game on you over and over.

i do think ACC needed the update i just feel like this update does not work for me at least weather it bugged my computer or the game or w.e it just feels horrible to play for me now and this is coming from someone who basically only plays ACC and has 1500+ hours in the game easily 10-15x as many hours as any other game i ever played.

dont get me wrong its not like now im going to play ams2 all the time or something im just probably going to play ams2 sometimes and ACC hardly ever.

either way what a let down for me that is my opinion its ok if you feel different or do not like it that is why you have your own opinion and i have my own opinion lol.

I also think if real life was like how ACC behaves now 50% of the field would be in the wall or flipping over while taking curbs.
Not sure if this matters, but Farm Simulator and ACC both Dropped an Update 1.9.1 on the same day. :steamhappy:

OP's problem is likely the same as mine.
The default setups are now all using positive toe (toe-out) on the rear which is weird and not standard for RWD cars and does feel like driving on ice in comparison to neutral or negative rear toe setups.

The solution is to set the rear toe to be negative or neutral

However the difficulty for any driver that has no idea about setups is you then have to balance all the other parts of the setup for this toe change. Likely involving tweaks to the camber, anti-roll bar, brake bias and ride height/rake. Possible also the front toe angle.
Then you'll need to do a lot of work to check the O M I temps are within 70C-100C and that the outside and inside temps are within the recommended max of 15C difference.

It's totally fair to be annoyed at the 1.9 change, it has created a lot of work for those that do not want to spend forever on setups to get back to the much, much more stable neutral/negative rear toe style setups of the previous version.
Positive toe = toe in
Right ?
No. Positive toe is toe-out.

Just in this game then ?
It’s like traction control level, in some games it’s the other way.
must be a really bad patch when all iracing goats comin to acc to say acc is the best sym experience atm they ever met. easy way is to post such headliner. horrible is just ur endurance in finding back in the game like all other have to do. Also youtube and discords of driver give u free baseline setups which u can use. Kunos themselve havent said u will be an alien with these but a good base in the opinion. Sounds like u cant except the jump ACC has done back in business.
I like the 1.9 update. Cars feel more natural for me. I think Kunos did a great job. A new BOP balance is needed though, the DLC cars are too fast.
