Breaking issue.
Hi.
I have a problem regarding breaking. I loose "power" in my left leg after a few minuttes of driving, and are not abele to break proberly. My leg feels kind a numb.
I have the Next Level Racing GT Track cockpit, and the V3 Fanatec pedals,
Any suggestions?

Brake with your right foot.

I've had to go to left foot braking because of a bad right knee.

When you have a problem.......adjust.

You should be talking to a doctor. Not a gaming forum.

Make sure you are not pinching any nerves in your knee due to your seating position.

as underd0g said. Check your seating position as this sounds like you have not got the correct position of your seat in the cockpit and maybe your thigh is resting to hard on the seat to much. Braking comes from the leg not the foot. Maybe you might also need to adjust you pedals to a better position or not such intense braking.

Braking comes from the leg and foot. Obviously. However, it's called LF or RF braking.

Use the clutch pedal as brake, it have far less resistance, or remove the spring/rubber from your brake pedal.

Using the clutch as a brake on V3 pedals wouldn't work well. Then he'd have no clutch if it did work. Brake has a load cell.

ACC dont need clutch for driving.

You assume this is the only game he races. Regardless, the clutch would be a terrible brake.

Well . . in that regard . .
Other sims can also be played with auto-clutch too, not the perfect solution but it do work.

I do play without clutch ever since I got used to the clutch pedal as brake when my previous G29 pedal had the brake screwed beyond use, also he is complaining about his leg getting tired and the brake is the pedal that requires most use of strength.

That's possible the load cell is too much for him. I can't see a way for him to use the V3 pedals. He should sell them and get some pedals without a load cell.

The V3 clutch has a two stage throw to simulate a clutch. It would be a terrible brake.

I suggested he try RF braking. Maybe his right leg is stronger.

Yes you have you foot on the brake pedal but dont press the brake using the ankle joint.

The pressure should come from the leg not the foot. There are plenty of videos about how to brake properly.

Just pressing the brake with the foot from the ankle will never give you the muscle memory or the amount of force required to press a load cell brake without tiring the leg.

That is what I meant.

Yes, I know but it's still called LF or RF braking and that's the only point I was making.

I started racing when I was 16. That was in 1958. I've been at this awhile. ;)

How many people brake with left foot ?
It seems so not natural.

Irl at the road car?
No idea.

At simulators where you need to blend brake and throttle?
If I was to guess I would say vast majority (myself included).
