Nobody wants to compete with console arcade racer. :D
Or you mean VR support on PS5?
gt7 was built around a specific set of hardware for the ps5 and to be capable of using the PSVR
Gt7 also does not have nearly the amount of data going on in the background for physics/telemetry
ACC was designed for PC around 2017-2018 and is known for being a extreme hardware hog VR was added in later as a after thought and really does not function the greatest without spending a lot of time configuring stuff and you also need an above average pc.
ACC had many problems working well on consoles and is actually ran by a completely different team then the PC version. the game would probably have to be completely remade to run VR on ps5 unless there is some sort of proprietary thing/software/hardware?? sony is using that is would be considered magic lol.
anyways its great that the VR on gt7 turned out so good we all wish that was the case for ACC many people that have almost twice the specs of a ps5 struggle to run ACC in VR
I have a i5-13600kf cpu rx6800 16gb gpu and 32gb 4000mhz ram and even running on a older VR headset 1400x1400 per eye @90hz that is less resolution than the new ps5 one it takes a lot of tinkering to get a ok VR experience and its still idk far behind most other VR experiences although i have not tried anything to crazy just editing in game settings/steamvr settings i guess if you use openVR or something its supposed to perform much better but takes some work to setup?? maybe lol
the sad thing is my graphics card is already getting outdated... ive had it around 2 years almost and its still almost capable of 2x the performance of a ps5.
I dont think some people realize how behind consoles are when compared to PC hardware i would say a ps5/xbox series x are probably about =to a pc that was mid tier 4-5 years ago and would be considered low tier hardware now.
my pc would sell for about 2000$+ if you bought it from retailer and buying the parts and assembling yourself is probably 1500-1800$ and my pc is considered a newer mid tier sadly lol you can spend that much on just a graphics card these days its a bit ridiculous.
just trying to put in perspective how much different a game designed to run on PC hardware could be than something designed to run on console hardware that is very limited and really behind PC hardware.
They use foveated rendering in conjunction with eye tracking and reprojection 120/60 to negate the difference.
Unsure about whether the cpu would hold up for the physics, but the rest they could probably do. As a competitive sim, they'd have pole position in the PSVR2 eco system. All eyes are on the next racing game on the platform, given the success of GT7 in VR.
