check the driver too
one thing i like having my wheel base plugged into a usb 2.0 port i feel like it just feels a little stronger for some reason than when i use a usb 3.0port(could just be me but worth a try)
to try these out select another profile from your current settings in the fanalab software use advanced not auto.
I found some settings online i really liked
fanalab
SEN 900
FFB 100
FFS PEAK
NDP 5%
NFR 10%
INT 1
FEI 100
FOR 100%
SPR 90%
DPR 100%
BLI OFF i dont have a brake pedal that vibrates lol
In game settings
gain 70 but depends on car 68-73 is usally the range im in
min force 0%
damper 20%
dynamic damper 20%
road effects 0
frequency 400hz
steer lock 900
steer lin 1.0
brake gamma 1.0
gear debounce 60ms
i really like these settings i wish i could remember who i got them from to give some credit lol they actually had the gain at 65 in game originally.
anyways if you do not already know and you might there is a bar in the bottom right when your driving that is your force feedback meter if its flashing red a lot then your in game gain is way to high and clipping basically muting out all the effects that is how i decide if i can go up a notch in the gain or if i have to go down many times going down in gain you will start to feel much more power coming through and more details as well.
Thanks for the tips, it looks great, however as soon as I have downloaded Fanalab and updated the drivers ACC stopped recognising the wheel,, The in game dash board kept flashing and the middle switch on the steering wheel was going crazy while the pedals and the wheel didn`t respond.. It is doing the same even after reinstalling all Fanatec software so now I`m stuck. Switching to PC really isn`t going as planned so far.
If after this you still have issues, delete your wheel's drivers and reinstall.
one thing is i never use the fanatec control panel it used to close everytime i would open it but you really never need to open it.
i use specifically fanalab version 1.63 not sure if that is the newest or not maybe your trying to use the fanatec control panel and not fanalab could be the problem.
if that is not it what i would do is turn off your wheel base unplug the power and usb try again.
you can also try pressing the reset button in the ACC controls there is 2 arched arrows sort of in a circle somewhere on the left i think this should reset things.
you could try a different usb port
all of your button bindings could just be wrong or something and setup for playstation? and you just need to check over the input bindings and cancel out any conflicting bindings.
make sure your wheel base is not in compatibility mode for me this means the power button lights up red in normal pc mode and yellow in compatibility mode it will function as a csw 2.5 in compatibility mode and is needed on some games although i cant think of any off the top of my head maybe forza horizon 5
if all that fails uninstall all the software and reinstall it probably with it connected to a different usb port.
also the only thing i do use the fanatec control panel for is firmware updates make sure your firmware is all up to date for the base and wheel maybe google fanatec gt dd pro firmware problems reddit- then read and see if its possibly a bad new update or something.
you could also just try pulling your wheel rim off and putting it back on.
could just need to restart the pc after install
i think you can just change them on your steering wheel without opening fanalab on my wheel its a button with a wrench on it not sure what it would be on the GT dd wheel
honestly if you cant change the settings though your kind of leaving some ffb behind and its a pretty expensive item to only like partially use it that is how i feel anyways.
i guess everyone likes different things though
i think for some reason many people really focus on making the wheel feel really heavy and hard to turn the wheel these GT3 cars have power steering and it should only be hard to turn the wheel if there is a lot of force being put on the wheels like driving fast through corners with your tires at the correct temp/psi
when your wheel is already putting out so much power to make the wheel feel stiff and hard to turn in every situation your just not actually getting the details because the wheel base is most likely clipping and just can not produce anymore force feedback due to being overloaded.
