2. This also detects eye movement
3 . If you don't know whether it works or not why do you answer? By making me waste my time reading the answer.
so you look at left, and the camera turns left, but you can't look at left end center at the same time...
do not know much about it myself just remember a year or so ago some streamers were talking about it.
although it seems to not be talked about very much anymore so it could be hard to find that much useful information.
Get FaceTrackNoIR and the tobii plugin and then it is quite easy to setup and tune to your liking.
I only have the look left/right axis available when I play.
[EDIT]
Does not detect eye tracking in this manner. Not a problem for me as I have to wear varifocal glasses, so head turn is more natural for me and what I would do IRL.
Thanks for the info, I just dusted off my 13+ year old Track IR system, to try with my new 34 curved screen.
QQ.
1. How hard was it to get it working?
2. What are the additional costs needed for the software systems?
EDIT: just found this video named: _Explained: How To Setup The Tobii Eye Tracker For Sim Racing - Sim Racing Guides_
I thinkcim gonna get it lol
I also have VR.
Track IR gives a different feel and with games like ACC it feels smoother than VR, because ACC don't like it too much (using 4070, 5 series AMD, 32GB ram).
But TrackIR is finicky some times and maybe my unit is toast but it's a bit jumpy Nd you need ro wear a weird set of IR LEDs which tend to move about (mine are taped).
What I'm looking forward to with Tobi 5 is the ability to not needing any more head garments lol.
I have it with pro clip as well. With the pro clip no jumps, even with high sun lights, but you have to wear this clip on a headset.
If I use the gadget on a cap, it can jump a bit but inly with high lights. I usually play with the cap and happy with it.
About tobii it seems to have eye tracking working when looking on youtube but tobii works in conjunction with monitor and not support all kind of monitors like ultrawide. like mine :( and as to be placed on bottom of it. Which is not possible on my simrig.
I also speak with some people that they use it and some of them told me that they now use trackir5 because tobii has not enough tracking precision.
