usually i use brake ducts 3 for 20-28c
the higher the number of brake ducts the more air gets in to cool the brakes in hot conditions this cools down the brakes and tires more
the lower the brake ducts are allows less in air to cool the brakes so they help warm the tires up in cold conditions.
try more tc or abs if your still overheating your probably sliding the car alot or locking the brakes up also turning the front wheels to much will cause the fronts to overheat
Braks ducts are a good way to keep them cool, asides from limiting understeer or oversteer.
Also keep in mind that if the track temperature is like 35°C, keeping the tires in the green will be nearly impossible without driving much slower than a race pace.
If you're playing in single player, lower the temperatures in the settings and if you're playing online, watch for the track temps and try to stick on servers where the track temperature don't go above 25-26°C.
make sure you're not doing that, I've never had problems with tire heating outside of that. I even start all of my qualifiers with a nice, long healthy burnout to get my tires nice and warm before I start.
Do 5 consecutive "fast laps" (so I would do outlap + 5 laps) pushing as hard as you can without overdriving and without going offtrack into sand or grass (or the blue lines at Paul Ricard), pause, return to garage and check your tyres psi.
If a tyre is 26.6psi hot, add +0.9psi to that tyre
If a tyre is 28.6psi hot, reduce -1.1psi to that tyre
If still your tyres are within the magical number and stil glowing yelow or red, try not plowing so much into, through and out of the turns (as constant use will wear off your tyres making it harder to get consistency to drive anywhere near your best times).
Game should be explaining this or atleast have a auto adjustment like ams2.
