Is All of the DLC Worth It?
Just got this game while it was on sale to give it a go with my new wheel and pedals. In a single day I've already put over 5 hours into it, trying lots of different cars and tracks, safe to say I like it a lot. Is all of the paid DLC that's currently available for the game worth it?

yes
IMO, base content is enough to keep you busy for enough time (especially considering that some cars and popular tracks like spa, silverstone, monza, nurburgring etc are considering "premium" content for other sims and you have to pay more than 6-7 euros for each of them).
as you progress and if find out that you want more content, then you can decide if you need more tracks or more cars or both and decide what you should buy.
i started with base content plus the imola DLC cause i love it, then bought the intercontinental DLC for the mountain and kyalami (great tracks) then the GT4 pack, brit pack and then the challenge pack and american pack on release.
this is not a suggestion, my recommentation is to buy them all if you have the money and since you like it.
it is IMO the best sim in the market (iracing excluded, never tried it, is another market actually) and even at full price only the other kunos sim (AC1) can beat it in value for money.
*also raceroom premium pack at 99 euros has an excellent value for money ratio.*

I bought it yesterday and seven hours in I'm just loving it. Had to buy the the DLC to get Mount Panorama and Laguna Seca, bargain! Don't know if I will try online or not, I'm in my fifties and reactions just aren't what they were! From what I have seen the DLC is good value (bought three from the off) especially whilst on offer.

Hey Dangerbod Ive only just got into ACC as well, came from AMS2, I find ACC much better, Im from a real car racing background but can't afford to race real cars anymore, IMO this is better, you don't get injured and its very cheap compared to real racing cars :o) Im 70 and I find this sort of racing is great for your mind and body!! Im just getting my Track stars now have most tracks and looking at racing in a league soon cheers

Why because you have to pay for it?
i wrote this post in a discord channel arguing with a friend of mine about rF2 TRACK prices in DLCs. this is 15 days old and prices are in euros.

might be an interresting read...

at this moment there are 23 DLC tracks to buy for rF2. total cost 192 euros.
average price per track = 8.3 euros.

DLC tracks for ACC cost 55 euros for 11 tracks. cost per track 5 euros.

AC1 released 4 tracks in 4 DLCs (including 1 track and ~7-8 cars each). price per DLC is 7 euros so even if you buy the DLCs just for the tracks it is 7 euros per track.

PC2 DLCs cost 40 euros and including ~40 cars and 6 tracks. price per track 6.6 euros.

AMS2 has 5 tracks only DLCs and 2 tracks + cars DLCs. total price for 11 tracks (and lot of cars) 71 euros. price per track 6.45 euros.

there is only one track (nordschleife) that cost 8 euros at raceroom . all others cost 5 euros or less.

all these are current prices on steam and not including bundles, sales or special promotions. and of course, no mods...

as you can see, rF2 IS different in track (and cars) DLCs prices.

Nice! rF2 is rather premium game. :D But the tracks never disappoint. On the other hand ACC tracks are completely fine as well.
not the gt4 pack until they put in a mustang!
I don't play RF2, but maybe I should? I feel like I've heard somewhat mixed things, most of them good. Or maybe I'm thinking of Automobilista 2 because it runs on the madness engine, I could be wrong.

Yes, ME is no and rF2 is YEEES. rF2 doesn't have any competition.
ACC is a bit more pure-pace-lap-time-race oriented game. It's also extremely dependent on car setup. Some even call it Tire Pressure Simulator 2022. With that in mind, all the DLCs that bring you an upgraded version of some car are more than worth it, since it's almost always faster and more stable version of the one that's already in the base game.
If you however want to have more fun and casual racing w/o getting a masters degree in mechanical engineering, i'd suggest trying Project Cars 2. Deluxe version of the game with all the DLCs can be found across many sites for the price of a single DLC in ACC. It's not at the same level of realism when it comes to car details and setups and the graphics are a bit old now, but in terms of the fun it brings it's much more relaxed and quite much easier to run. It's from the guys that are making Automobilista 2, but that one needs another year of developing until it's worth completely diving into.

Oh, I've actually already played plenty of Project CARS 2. That was back when I only had a controller and it actually felt great to play on it, think I dumped around 80 or so hours on it. I might reinstall it now that I have a wheel, but I remember after so long playing it the thing that really frustrated me in the end was how bad the AI could be, which I'm sure is a problem all sims have but I have yet to encounter in ACC.

The graphics also hold up surprisingly well in PCARS2, based on some recent videos I've watched.

:D Depends. It's like completely broken PC3 or WRC games and people don't see it.
