The physics here in ACC do feel similar to AC but they improved some things like aerodynamics, tyres and suspension. But don't expect the cars to drive like they're on rails. Driving a car on the limit never feels completely stable.
I think that is not the right game for controller users... there are a lot of games to play with - but please stay away from simulations like ac or acc - buy an wheel or go with forza or gt sport, maybe pc2 will be an option for you
I will agree with 99.9 percent of the answers, a wheel and pedal set is the best way to get the most out of both Assetto Corsa & Assetto Corsa Competizione.
Always check the 'Guides' above your post and the one in the Assetto Corsa discussion, they will have tips on how to setup controllers.
fun is subjective in these games. i don t have fun in arcade games. i have fun in simracing games .. if you want fun where you can ac celerate mid corner full throttle there is a game called forza horizon 4
And there is a reason for that. Guess which one is newer and mathematically more accurate? PC2. People seem to confusing what they think feels good, with accuracy. Different things.
It's a game at the end of the day ... aimed at sim racers ... my advice is play it on beginner level at first and yes it is perfectly playable with a controller .. but for better immersion and more realism on higher difficulty a wheel makes it easier to control your input.
AC was definitely more difficult with a controller but still possible , ACC seems to have better controller support out of the Box.
At least for me, ACC feels more RF2 than PC2. It may look more like PC2, but the handling and FFB feel closer to RF2. Again...this is my opinion so obviously others may vary. It's not perfect, but it's pretty d*mn good so far if you ask me.
Typically I have pretty good memory and doesn't take me too long to start getting the hang of a new track. Misano though I am finding very challenging. Just started to get the hang of it last night. With AI difficulty at 96, aggressiveness at around 87-88%, I was having a blast with some great neck and neck racing. I did get the overly aggressive AI bump here and there, but overall very impressed with the AI so far as well.
It can only get better from here.
