Assetto Corsa Competizione

Assetto Corsa Competizione

Realistic ?
I bought Assetto Corsa and I found the slipping n sliding of the cars very annoying . Maybe its realistic but a game should be fun too . I hope Competizione doesnt have the same feel of uncontrolable cars , that wear out tires within 2 laps . Cars dont spin out of bends with 20 kph . Remember the fun-fact is also important .:steamsad:

You speak of two different games.

Maybe then you should try Forza or Gran Turismo? They are a lot more forgiving. Did you try to drive with assists, and are you on controller or wheel?

Cars do spin out with 20 kph when they have 500+ hp on the rear wheels and no traction control enabled. But to enjoy the physics in AC and get a feeling for the cars i strongly suggest to use a wheel. It is playable with a controller, but it is a lot harder because the sticks and triggers aren't very precise with their 0,5 cm of movement range while a wheel has up to 900 degrees or more (about 50% of that in a GT3 car).

The physics here in ACC do feel similar to AC but they improved some things like aerodynamics, tyres and suspension. But don't expect the cars to drive like they're on rails. Driving a car on the limit never feels completely stable.

I am on controller , and I admit I have no experience in setting up cars , but I do like the game somehow , so I guess I need a lot of practise . I hope they will activate multiplayer soon too !:steamhappy:

I think that is not the right game for controller users... there are a lot of games to play with - but please stay away from simulations like ac or acc - buy an wheel or go with forza or gt sport, maybe pc2 will be an option for you

i fully disagree your statement. This game shall be what it is planned to be: A full copy and simulation of a professional racing series with maximum possible realism without any compromises! You get the fun and an until now not experienced control and feel for the car when you are ready for it. For me as experienced Sim Driver it was about 10 hours for the Lambo, and all i can say this sim is the new reference in realism and driving experience! Thanks for this masterpiece Kunos and keep this way, it wil be great!

If you want a 'Fun' driving then this won't be as such in the way u see it. Using a 'controller' in a sim can be fun but isen't the way you 'should' go for. get yourself a good wheel with pedals and it's much more 'fun' to overcome the issue u have with it. To control these cars in a simulator like this, takes a bit of an effort and learning curve, even for experieanced drivers, trust me I know! :steamhappy:

You have posted this in the Assetto Corsa Steam discussion as well, on both discussions you have had roughly the same answers, so the ball is in your court.

I will agree with 99.9 percent of the answers, a wheel and pedal set is the best way to get the most out of both Assetto Corsa & Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Always check the 'Guides' above your post and the one in the Assetto Corsa discussion, they will have tips on how to setup controllers.

there are people with controllers here that are better than people with wheel lmao. i saw one guy doing 1:34.2 with controller in bentley+misano.

fun is subjective in these games. i don t have fun in arcade games. i have fun in simracing games .. if you want fun where you can ac celerate mid corner full throttle there is a game called forza horizon 4

And there is a reason for that. Guess which one is newer and mathematically more accurate? PC2. People seem to confusing what they think feels good, with accuracy. Different things.

It's a game at the end of the day ... aimed at sim racers ... my advice is play it on beginner level at first and yes it is perfectly playable with a controller .. but for better immersion and more realism on higher difficulty a wheel makes it easier to control your input.

AC was definitely more difficult with a controller but still possible , ACC seems to have better controller support out of the Box.

p-cars 2 is prob best for you as it's more user friendly than a sim

Wrong game for you then my friend. This title leans heavily towards realistic, which to a whole segment of us is what makes it fun.

At least for me, ACC feels more RF2 than PC2. It may look more like PC2, but the handling and FFB feel closer to RF2. Again...this is my opinion so obviously others may vary. It's not perfect, but it's pretty d*mn good so far if you ask me.

Typically I have pretty good memory and doesn't take me too long to start getting the hang of a new track. Misano though I am finding very challenging. Just started to get the hang of it last night. With AI difficulty at 96, aggressiveness at around 87-88%, I was having a blast with some great neck and neck racing. I did get the overly aggressive AI bump here and there, but overall very impressed with the AI so far as well.

It can only get better from here.

i don't spin out at bends at 20mph tbh i find it drives as you would expect a car to drive since the last update.
