Unrealistic AI performance (Second update, 0.2.0, but people reply to old discussion)
I'm the only one who noticed in some overtakes situation against AI, they braking like a Formula 1 car for defence whitout conseguence like missing braking point or trajectory? It's impossible to overtake AI in some point of tracks like turn 6 of Nurburgring. You can brake too late and too late.. but they will do it more later every single time, where you can't brake anymore whitout go out of track, they will do it.

despite the years AC did not improve his AI. It's sad and unprofessional, offline players are not considered and put all on line.

Guys, it's 2018.

I don't understand the relevance of stating the year. It's now 2019. So what? The AI is pretty horrendous for racing against. I too would like to play this game in it's given 'single player' mode, you know? The career? Practising for multiplayer races? But that doesn't help the player when the AI won't concede a line, even when you have the racing 'right of way'. How they can give you a 'gentle' bump while side by side and you will always spin out, no matter how solid your car is set, etc, etc. Both yasse and Jemp have the right of it.

The AI is unbalanced for single player, so I find myself asking, what is the point of Kunos implementing a single player Career mode if they are not willing to get the AI level correct?
I have been trying to do the Paul Ricard Quick Race-Dry for a while now. The AI level is set to 97% ability & 50% aggression. Yeah, it's not a typo. 50% aggression and i feel like the AI cars should be fitted with Bull-bars for their constant tendency to perform Pit-maneuvers. Just don't even think about trying to 'squeeze' them because as soon as you get your nose in front, you will be sent spinning. I have so far been able to survive the first 3-4 lap carnage, climb my way into 6th place highest so far, but never actually finished a race in the top 10 because the AI will not let you.

C'mon Kunos. You can do better than this, and if not, stop making sim-racing titles. Perhaps Demolition Derby type games will be more your thing.

Why not just lower the agression level to 0%?

Also I play on low difficulty, 82-92% The A.I. brakes pretty much earlier than I do. I did adjust my braking bias, because this game the braking bias is insanely biased to the front. Unlike any other sim I've ever experienced. Not sure why.

But it's cool we can adjust braking bias on the go.

I also find the AI to be useless at this point.
They're not following the rules or common courtesy of racing at all.
They also seem to be glued to the ground, I feel like a Reliant Robin upon contact.

Late braking is something I suck at anyways, so I couldn't tell if AI is OP there.

i have not played with settings much but with 100% speed 95 aggression i found them to be pretty good. they definatly dont go down without a fight but i find it refreshing compared to the ai in other sims that just open the door and ask you politely to pass.

if anything i found braking to be a weak spot for ai.
