Is there a way to turn off wheel vibration and rattling?
Title of discussion.

The vibration and rattling of completly stopping, or going off-track for a second is super loud, and can be heard through my whole town.

Lol. You can adjust the overall feedback forces most likely in the control panel settings for your wheel, but this will also affect other games. In game, just turn down the GAIN under control settings.

What type of wheel have you got, sounds like something's wrong with your config or you have road effects etc. turned very high?

If he goes offtrack it obviously will be a lot louder, and it is meant to show off the track details.

Maybe he is too used to AC and PC2 low FFB.

He's probably got a G29. Wheel info would help then someone can give him/ her some ffb suggestions.

There is a full guide for the G29. Click on Guides at the Top

I have a G29.
FFB at PC2 is weak in terms of details, but is strong for weight transfer.
AC I dont remember how it was but I dont remember it being strong either.

If he tries KartKraft he would think his wheel was about to brake at every corner or straight as is shakes and vibrates like hell when compared to PC2 or even "ACC with a strong FFB settings", the FFB is strong at KK and I must say, the feeling of a real kart there is far better than anywhere else (not only because of the strong FFB but also because of kart physics, also a kart is that strong because it has no mechanical parts to reduce the feeling, so it is all raw and right from the wheels to the steering wheel and without springs either so each bump look amazing at good or high speed . . . or dangerous, depend on how you like to see it :winter2019joyfultearsyul:).

ACC FFB is good for track details, nothing wrong with it.
Think that the more track details you have, the better so you know where and why you slide, where and why you spin and can react accordingly and in time, before you already spun or started the slide.

If you reduce too much, you will not have the track details and will be playng mostly with screen image reactions (so the spin or slide already happened) or with "wheel being a bit hard" what mean you already locked wheels when braking.
ACC the cars already feel a lot confortable, if you drive properly and at the racing line, the wheel will convey mostly track details and you can benefit the most from it.

Have a G29 myself, feels pretty good default. Still experimenting though. Any updates to physics will usually require a little more tweaking. Quite impressed it makes the G29 feel good.

Also set the brake to 75% upper dead zone. Brakes a lot tighter, still need to tweak a bit though.
