Will ACC on PC get achievements like they have consoles?

Why should it? They are just meaningless little pictures on your Steam profile, utterly worthless. And the constant popups are distracting so they only make a game worse if anything.

Games on Playstation and Xbone are required to have achievements, so players get points that increase their gamer score, or something like that. On Steam games they are not mandatory, thankfully.

Maybe it's not meaningless to him?

Translation: Achievements are useless to ME therefore they're useless for everyone and NO ONE should have them.

You can turn off the Steam overlay for any game you don't want to see the achievement notifications for.

I am glad at least some games don't have achievements. ACC does it right to me.

completely agree with you on this. achievements/trophies are just participation awards. but then again, grew up in the era playing games where such thing never existed.

Translation of the opening post: I want them so everyone needs to have them and devs need to give them to ME. It kinda goes both ways.

If you want to enlighten me about the meaning of Steam spamming popup messages that you have unlocked a little picture on your Steam profile because you have completeted the feat of driving at 100km/h, or earned a track medal, or whatever, please do. I kinda suspect you will not be able to make a very convincing case.

Turning off Steam overlay has the small drawback that it turns off Steam overlay, Einstein. Steam overlay which has actual uses besides spamming achievement popups. How about you don't try to be clever.

okay, so mixed opinions but couple of people are not the real sample of the community, If you want devs to add achievements, go to the official Kunos forum and talk about that there, they are active there more than here

It has been asked like 5765477 times in the past, and we have no achievements, so I wouldn't expect to see any in the future. Actually, taking into account we still suffer from some old bugs which haven't been taken care of in more than a year, I wouldn't expect anything new from this game apart from maybe another DLC with some new tracks/cars, if something.

Just to be clear, I would have loved to have achievements in this game as well, it is just I don't see that happening. And for the people who say it isn't important... It is to me. We don't need official servers, we don't need statistics or stats, we don't need single player, we don't need challenges, we don't need liveries... But the game would be worse if they weren't there. Just because you don't use something, it doesn't mean it isn't something other people would like to see added to the game. I don't play the career, and I don't do the challenges, but I don't runt about developers spending time into those areas.

The name is problematic. It shouldn't be there. I understand somebody likes achievements. I am just not sure if it's the right direction for gaming. It's much better to have none than to see I am "loser" because I have only 20 % of achievements. Did I even play the game? Did I have fun? Who cares, numbers matters!

Your reasoning is stupid. Steam is the first to have implemented achievements and subsequently the consoles followed. This is a common and historical feature of all Steam games. Well exploited this adds goals to achieve and where fun achievements. If the gamer likes it it increases the lifespan of a game. Disliking its a right but wanting to remove or not add features to a game is ridiculous. I could say the same for statistics, or skins which are also not essential .... Some people don't like success because they are quite simply frustrated.

I have heard that the number of cars killed at first turn in public lobbies will become a key achievement and that this number will be displayed on your car ?
