Logitech G29 Wheel - Use the old Logitech Software or the Logitech G Hub

Looking for current feedback on which Logitech interface I should use to setup the Logitech G29 wheel on a gaming PC. Using it for American Truck Simulator and Assetto Corsa Competizione.

Logitech Gaming Software (LGS) NOT GHub!!!
I've tried both couldn't get wheel working on GHub but LGS was great started straight away.

I agree. Ghub was causing my wheel's anti-overheat system to kick in even when the wheel was cold, meaning that I lost my FFB gain regularly while in the middle of races. Uninstalling Ghub and reinstalling Logitech Gaming Software seemed to cure the problem.

Great thanks for the input. Just starting sim racing in retirement. Was a Pong master in the 70's, lol and later Space Invaders. Gave up gaming to make a living but looking for something now that is both fun and challenging. I did setup using Logitech Gaming Software and initial practice runs look decent (only 5 spin-outs per lap, lol). Ordered a racing frame to stabilize the wheel and petals and will hunker down to learn how to drive a consistent lap and then work on the fine points. Thanks again.

I didn't even know that this is an option, i always thought that the G29 only works with the Logitech Gaming Hub.
Do i have to use a specific version of LGS?

Yes download the newest version: 9.02.65

The game is running smoothly with no issues using the Logitech Gaming Software V 9.02.65

i may have a one off issue but ive used both lgs and ghub with no issues using the wheel. HOWEVER with ANY logi system programs my computer goes retarded. cant download anything cant connect to anything keyboard freezes and computer crashed. tons of audio issues and artifacting. i cant reccomend logitech anymore. do not waste your time with it. absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ software. mind you ive had these issues persist through several different computers and numerous fresh installs of both windows and software old and new hardware alike since winX was forced onto people in win7

i use the g29 use the old software version 9.02.74

The issue I have with G29 Ghub software is the ridiculous amount of gymnastics I have to do to get different setups for different sims to work. However, now and then, I lose FF and I have to exit and reload the game to get it back.

with the old software its simple to make a profile for each game so that it auto detects the game your playing and switches profiles. you should be able to find this version 9.02.74 on the web if not let me know i can upload it and give a link
