well.....your world anyway....
What you could also try is either running the sim in a smaller lower res window (initially), open task manager, click 'DETAILS', right click the ACC.exe - set priority to HIGH and the set AFFINITY to every other core (0,2,4,etc). This should essentially balance the load across all of those cores. Alternatively, download "PROCESS LASSO" which keeps your settings permanently and you can tweak different settings (including turning off SMT and setting priorities) and you can see how the cores work. It can also put PC performance into BITSUM mode which gives an extra little boost. I use it and it definitely helped with VR use. But mainly, it smooths out the experience.
EDIT: This was on page one and also helps a lot....

Just a quickfire answer, assuming you're having power issues from USB ports, you either need to unload some ports, get a powered USB hub or (if you have a spare pcie lane) a pcie card. This could also mean you may need to update your PSU. Of course, that may not be the issue you were talking about at all though....

I tried the advice, but I couldn't solve the problem in this environment.
If you play without overclocking in the BIOS, the FPS will drop and freeze every few seconds.
Other games, asseto corsa and Dirt rally 2.0, are perfectly fine.
I'm using AMD's CPU for the first time this time, so I don't know the cause yet, but one thing I can say is that the new ryzen 5000 and this game are incompatible.
But I'm glad that I can play this game that I love.
Thank you. Finally someone who notice that. 1.7.5 did not solve the problem.
Just tried these... didnt work :/
Just did all that, didnt work for me
Also tried the cores thing, didnt work :((((((((((
Also try using -dx12 -USEALLAVAILABLECORES in ACC's Steam launch line.
R9 3900x
Powercolor RX6800XT Red Devil
32 GB 3200
3440x1440p Alienware DW3418
I play it smooth with all Settings ULTRA 105-115 FPS.
