ACC with an Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller?
Wondering if anyone out there races with an Xbox Elite Series 2 controller and their experience with it. I have an off brand Xbox one controller and wondering if this controller is any good for racing as an alternative to a wheel. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Don’t race ACC with controller. You pollute online races. Please, get an used steering wheel like Logitech driving force GT or TM t150.

Really, people racing with controllers should be regrouped in the same lobby racing each other’s. Not with steering wheel owners.

By your standards, you don't own a GT3 so you should not be racing at all. lol

I would say, if you got a gamepad without stick drift (common sensor issue), then it's got nearly same accuracy as a wheel, with higher speed and endurance. But if you don't got a 2 year garuantee for stick drift, then buying a steering wheel is a cheaper option.

But it could have double accuracy, if kunos made use of the 100% circular range of the left thumbstick. And sadly they don't.

I am also curious about the xbox elite series 2 ffb functions and if anyone knows if acc makes use of it. And how it feels or what they experience.

I do use an xbox elite 1, it works great and i am having great fun with it. Just keep in mind that you will to tune the sensibility settings to your liking before being able to fully enjoy it. I do have also an tx wheel but i use it very seldomly nowadays.

Pads are so easier to use (no need to setup the wheel stand, plug anything, less space used... ) for me and still give a lot of fun.

As for [Quem] Blabers, OP didn't explicitly talk about online racing and this kind of answer won't help him to get answers to his question. Also it don't give a good image of yourself to have a so condescending attitude towards other fellow gamers.

I know a guy that use gamepad, very consistent, not crashing on anyone and do 2:03 at Bathrust.

Who pollute online races are crappy drivers and rammers on purpose, not gamepads or whatever.
Wheel will not fix bad driving behavior or bad mindset toward racing.

LOL, nice gatekeeping :D Xbox controller works fine. Sadly sim elitism is toxic in ACC and other sims. ACC is normal console game not a simulator. Play how you want. It's better on gamepad than Pcars for example.

To be fair, ACC physics was dumbed down for consoles due to performance as it started on PC and was ported to consoles (not started on consoles and got ported to PC).

nearly same accuracy, moving your hand about half a meter total for only 180 degrees of steering compared to a stick that moves at most like 1cm to a direction?

One thing I already saw in person, one of my friends driving at KartKraft (where turning require much more smoothness than at ACC), he holds the stick up and move just a little from there (also hold it there for as long as he need and slowly return the stick to center).
Most problem comes from brake and throttle that lack smoothness but steering is not so much of a problem even at KK (but require practice with it . . . as much as it requires practice with wheel to dont jerk it all over the place).

Thanks for all of the feedback. I think I will just continue playing on my current Xbox One controller and save up for a good wheel+base+pedals. Looking at the Thrustmaster TS-XW Base, the Sparco T310 Wheel, and the T-LCM pedals.

I just tried these settings on my xbox one controller and it feels way more playable and pleasant. It is way better than the settings from another youtuber's settings I tried. I might just get a Elite Series 2 soon and let you guys know how it works out.

I checked the price of the Elite Series 2 here and ... Buy yourself a FFB wheel instead, it will not be a different world, it will be a completely new dimension in terms of feeling and immersion.
