split the one (compined) axis to two axes using vJoy and joystick gremlin plugin.
here how to install (both) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mf8e4GnZCS4
here how to use: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zcCyq4aDpM8
good luck
good find, though it doesn't help me, but i was wondering would you know any tool/program etc that would allow me not to be forced to use L2/R2 controller inputs as throttle/brake when playing acc?, never in all my years of playing siim racing games, have i experienced a game where you are forced to use a designated input for a set parameter,
I have ALWAYS used the right analouge stick for throttle/brake, but this is the first sim racing title which won't allow the player to edit these control input, instead whoever fecking designed this felt it unimportant and basically forces all controller users to have to use what they decided?, what would people feel like if they could not invert
the y (vertical axis) in a first person shooter, and were forced to use the legacy control scheme? ,,,,i would call that arrogant and bigoted, anyone else?
cheers
1) vjoy and joystick gremlin working great. obviously you dont configure it well. there is no doubt about it
2) ACC allows to to use any AXIS as throttle and brake. your controller's analogue stick should work fine.
the only limitation both kunos games have in wheel/controller settings is that buttons dont be accepted as throttle/brake inputs. there is a workaround with some tools for this but you dont need them simply because you want to bind an axis (your pedals single axis or your analog stick half axes).
resume: you can split your single axis and have separate instead of compined pedals with vJoy OR you can bind any controller's analogue stick axis without any tool.
ACC has no problem to accept ANY axis for throttle and brake.
IF you are trying to bind BUTTONS to throttle/brake, then i will find you a solution for this. did you?
what was the problem you had when split the axis with vjoy and gremlin?
edit: actually, this guy https://steamcommunity.com/app/805550/discussions/0/3056240878560645202/ has set his controller analogue stick to throttle and brake. in the thread you can see that i mention where is the problem when using an analogue stick for throttle and brake (its about the same as the compined axis you already have in your pedals: you can use both throttle and brake at the same time...).
edit 2: you can try to change your gamepad or (if recognized by steam) wheel/pedals bindings with the steam controller options
