https://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/thrustmaster-sf1000-advanced-racer-lcd-led-support.69130/
Someone mentioned that back in June they did a fw update for raceroom and iracing. So maybe with the next fw update it will be there?
I think a huge problem is that not enough people own the sf-1000 for various reasons.
For one a lot of racers seem to be going more to the fanatec side and to simucube. Wheras most that do have thrustmaster just don't have the money to be buying a $500+ wheel add on. I tell ya what else does not help is how expensive the lcm pedals are due to scalping.
There are just better places for people to invest their money as of now.
What makes that true is the fanatec clubsport pedals are at the same price point with much higher quality and with little to no scalping. I think with fanatec they realize that in the long run scalping only hurts business so they do what they can to mitigate the problem of scalping and most of what they do is a natural preventative for scalping such as better quality products which do come at a premium price.
That premium price serves a couple purposes. One is very good quality and two is that scalpers like things that poor people like. I am definitely in that class in terms of pc gaming but I don't mind.
On the upside scalpers are not as attracted to fanatec because scalpers want to buy low and sell high. So it's really not the best time for thrustmaster for those looking to stay in the eco system when there clearly are better alternatives for the serious racer.
The main idea I'm trying to get across is that scalpers do want a return on their money and sure they could do that with fanatec but in the most logical of probabilities they would not have someone to sell to.
i have seen some csl DD on ebay just saying lol although idk if the prices were really that much higher
the fact is alot of people are not looking to spend even 300$ on a wheel and most gamers dont even know these things (steering wheels with force feedback)exist maybe they have heard of Logitech but thats it.
even as someone who loved racing games growing up somehow i never had heard of a steering wheel with force feedback until last year and no one i know had heard of them either or cared to hear of them lol
have not heard anything about an update lol
You leave in a cave ?
Logitech has made FFB wheels for at least 10 years
im telling you what my experience was about a year ago i saw a random jardier/jimmybroadbent stream on mt panorama and thought it was the coolest thing i ever seen and got a wheel pretty much immediately and built a gaming pc within a couple months was on a xbox series x before that(honestly they should have crossplatform) theres like 5 people racing on xbox when i try to find a race lol also it should be able to run alot better if i can get 1080p 60 fps pretty easy on a rx580 4gb card it just seems like they pretty much forgot about it on console and i sort of get why ive tried 5 cp races and i think only one had 2-3 other drivers in it if it had cross platform it would be alot better and the ps5/seriesX are both capable enough although now that i have a PC i would say the new consoles are still only mid grade compared to PC still most people are on 1060 and 1660 and 1070 cards probably very close to what a series x or ps5 would be capable of
anyways..... lol i expect a weird quoted reply
This is a serious sim. I'm thinking that over 90% that play this game have done sim racing before so most have spent $300 or more. For thrustmaster I would never buy the T300 in this particular time. It's great to shop around. I managed to get a ts xw racer for $400 and it's well worth it. I already had the open wheel rim though. If it hadn't been for that I would've made the jump to fanatec.
For my pedals. I use the t3pa pro which I got brand new for $99 and I believe that load cell is overrated. When it comes down to it. It's not the load cell that wins races. It's more about the skill we have acquired over time. They talk about muscle memory with load cells. It doesn't matter what we play with. Muscle memory can be used with all hardware when setup correctly.
This reminds me of how things are marketed in general. These high and worthless dpi gaming mice. Who the hell plays at 16,000 dpi? The same thing can be said about wheels and pedals in a lot of cases.
The wrc championship says it all. I forget which season it was but someone won that with a ps3 controller while everyone else at the lan tournament had a racing rig worth over five grand. Might have been wrc 5 or 6. The person that won didn't just win with that ps3 controller. He beat the pants off of everyone else. Wheres my pants? Damn it.
Personally I am annoyed that I spent 600 AUD on a wheel that is not fully working, it does not matter how many people use it. The damn thing should work properly.
All my other equipment is;
Handbrake: Heusinkveld newest handbrake.
Pedals: Heusinkveld sprint with Hybrid Sim Racing V8 Supercar style plates.
Sequential: Heusinkveld Sequential with Misimoto knobend.
H-Pattern: Fanatec Clubsport.
Wheel: TS-PC with all the addons.
It is a great wheel, but without full compatibility is is kinda semi-useless. I like to use correct FOV, and seeing the LCD display on wheel will be usefull. The reason is with LMP cars I put the camera far forward so the car does not block the road, and thats what I see looking out the window in a real car.
