Setup Changes between Qualifying and Race?

What are the rules for changing setup between quali and the race? In a recent league race I put in enough fuel to do the quali and then planned to add fuel for the race. But, when I clicked on Setup, ACC warned that all my progress would be lost so I bailed out. But, had to do a pitstop to refuel during the race :(

I would go into single player and save your setups for each scenario.
It maybe a bit time consuming but will help you out in the long run.

I figured out my issue. The warning really should read "You will loose our current setup" not "you will loose you progress" which I think is a translation issue. I should have selected "Current Setup" and then I would not have gotten the "scary" warning msg in the middle of a race!
