Why would anyone limit their FPS much less to 50
In game frame limiter is available in video, option
Remember that FPS is how many frames your gaming computer is producing or drawing, while the refresh rate is how many times the monitor is refreshing the image on the screen. The refresh rate (Hz) of your monitor does not affect the frame rate (FPS) your GPU will be outputting.
^^This. Limiting FPS also doesn't mean those frames will be anywhere near in sync with the monitor refresh either, even if your monitor is set to 50hz in windows and your game's frame limit is set to 50, it doesn't mean those 50 frames will align with the 50 refreshes of your monitor.
The game will default to your windows refresh rate, I have no idea what you are even talking about. In Sim Racing you won't see much difference past 150 fps or even less.
Set fps cap with Rivatuner. (Comes with MSI Afterburner)
