FFB on G920 (on PC) is piece of ... nothing
Hi,
Im so dissapointed with the FFB for my G920.
I manage to set it somewhat on original AC, in Dirt, even Grid gave me something, but ACC is very dissapointing in that sense.

I tried the LUT, but its stil far off anything real. It feels almost like driving Pegueot on asphalt parking lot (no feedback from wheels at all), no matter what. Very bland, no details - if you can feel the FFB you can sure read Brail writing with your fingers...
If I manage to get some FFB, the road has stronger (I mean less weak) FFB than the curbs (SPA specifically, but very similarly on all circuits).

Is it bcs Kunos dont care about G920? Do I expect too much (as I did race some shorter FWD amatuer cups in real life)?
I like the game, but without somewhat aduquate FFB there isnt much point for me...

G Hub - Wheel - 100; 900°, centering spring 10
In game - Gain - 75; Min f, - 0; Dyn Damp - 100; Road eff - 20; Freq - 333

Any help appreciated.

With my g27 is very good. For me minimum force 1 %.

I get a lot of force, but not much in the way of feedback, with my g920. I am spoiled by the force feedback from rFactor2.

look for Aris (ACC dev) @youtube. There is a upload from a live stream where he explains the settings for all wheels.

For Logitech it's: Gain 90-100, Damping 30-50, Min Force ~12, Road Effects off, Freq 333

Logitech wheels are beginner stuff with the cheapest tech. You can't excpect DD force feedback let alone RL feedback. But it's ok for me (G27).

Edit: He also says that, if Road Effects are off, the force feedback is only generated by the actual game physics. He gave an example of to much turn in where you loose force feedback or at least details of it when going over a certain point. So stay smooth.

Do you have Project Cars 2? There' a weird issue where PC2 alters the registry settings for the wheel, or even the GHub software does as well. It swaps the peddles and alters the FFB feeling of the wheel. I was reading a thread where someone ran a registry change watcher while loading PC2 and recorded what changed, I now have 2 reg files on my desktop to switch between these 2 registry profiles. One allows my game to work with some older games that registered the clutch pedal as always down in menus and allows me to play them (WRC7 and SL Rally for example).

That's where ACC fails me the most. Suddenly I find myself heading into the nearest wall and I never felt it coming. I can feel it coming in rFactor2 as it somehow translates the 'grip' or lack thereof of the tyres into the wheel itself. So I pretty much always know when I am right on the edge of losing grip. In a perfect world ACC would marry rFactor2 and have a beautiful child together.

I tried that before, exactly t the note, and its worse than what I have now.
As underd0g states, no feeling of understeer, even lockup really, curbs randomly, sometimes little bit, but mostly none, on the other hand I can sometimes feel the road, but not curbs at all.

This is such bull... Why cant it be really plug and play as promised? that would be professional product, not half baked interesting game, as it si lately very common...
rFactor2 is much better with feedback and after some work even AC.
For ACC I could have gotten the cheapest no FFB wheel and would be similar (well as written before, I can have lots of force, but almost none feedback).

Logitech wheels are not meant for accurate feedback in sim racing games. I have one 920 and it has been gathering dust for months. It's hard to set up properly, it's coggy all the way and not good for AC games. Better get a Thrustmaster T300/TS-PC you won't regret it.

I can agree on that it feels coggy and hard to set up but rFactor2 manages to give me pretty accurate feedback on what kind of tyre grip / slip I am getting. Personally I'm probably buying a better wheel once this Corona Simracing hysteria simmers down so I don't have to shell out that much money. For now we must just live with that ACC and G920 are just not that good a match.

923 is why 920 ain't good for ACC

G923 is a quick cash grab.

i changed g29 for Fanatec 1 month ago, g29 wheel and his force feedback was a toy compared with this Fanatec but the price is also x4 higher...

I have used G29 in ACC but the FFB is not so good, the ACC in console has a better FBB than ACC in PC.

maybe on g29... but definitely not for any other wheel. try a lower pollrate for ffb, in game settings set it from 333hz to for example 111hz

Road effects can drown out other FFB information so step 1 would be to lower that or best - turn it off. Also, if you can it on another USB port, in case it's a hardware issue.

Its not the wheel you are using, its Kunos its believe that the current FFB (which is just a linear flat signal at best), the ultimate real feel. Allthough they seem to forget we all stare at a 2d screen sitting in a fixed seat with cola and chips. So "fake" forces are welcome to actually FEEL what a car is doing as we miss the G FORCES...so rF2 for me all the way!
