You can sort of do that by creating custom championships: start with a BMW TC championship, then do a GT4 championship, then a Porsche Cup/Supertrofeo championship, then GT3 championship.
Fair point. Although, is it really that realistic to already own 50+ cars at the start of one’s career? If I started racing for real, would I get to drive a Zonda the first time on a track?
I get what you’re saying. I guess I’m just more of a player looking for a more meaningful advancement in games. Having everything in the beginning seems… pointless?
I've played it a bit, you start at a practice test day and need to reach a given laptime...
Later you can choose between 4 or 5 different teams/cars, like choosing a contract for the season.
It seems like there is nothing like a special story or something, even the podium celebration is a bit odd, just some cheering but without sound. I played it up to 26%, not sure how it goes on, if you can choose other contracts after one season maybe depending on your results?
Not sure if the career mode is something like what you're looking for.
double check what dlc you have and what is supposed to be included.
It dont simulate a career properly and is more like a series of races that start at nowhere and finish at nowhere.
You are better at a league if you want a career and competition against other drivers, learn with and from, try to improve and put yourself to test, etc... there are leagues that do daily or almost daily races and leagues that do weekly races, leagues that do endurance races, etc.
The core idea of a driving simulator is to simulate its driving physics, not the career, and so that is what it do.
