EDIT: after watching some live developer streams recently i am comfortably satisfied the devs are aware of this issue, they are working in the best ways possible to remedy this issue, thankyou and stay safe.

Pretty much any online multiplayer, CP races, events etc are absolutely worthless now. for the few that have made this cheating public, you can bet your life that there are countless others stealth cheating. a few tenths per lap better than anyone else, going undetected.

Integrity of this 'sim' (i use the term loosely) is now non-existent until the devs start using some kind of anti-cheat.

Unless you’re the fastest in a race normally then I don’t think you’ve got too much to worry about other than improving your own time. The short term hassle is the intentional wrecking, driving the wrong way etc.

Exactly !!!! something fishy been going on for a long time, if you watch some of the fastest laps, its weird how they seem to have so much grip and speed, yet when you compare there actual trap speeds its less than yours lol, but there 3 secs quicker, oh dear........

I haven’t seen any unrealistic lap times when I’ve been racing and in terms of e-sports I’m sure they can check motec etc. to determine if cheating is taking place. There’s been laps removed from the Special Event leaderboards though, although I think they’ve often been due to track limit bugs etc.

dam i love this game even though i am slow but i have gotten better . i was in a public race and i was doing good got up to 8th place out of 16 and out of no ware i got hit by a jet plane he never slowed down i had to go back to the pits i was pissed hope this can get fixed

Well I certainly appreciate this post. I confess that I had no idea that this was going on. And I am disappointed at best. Enraged at worst. Any game that uses numbers to position you in comparison to other drivers should have an anti-cheat system in place. Particularly if those numbers can be used to determine whether or not you can participate in a certain event. I have had one very large and popular racing club tell me that I could not race with them because of my safety rating being too low. I would not cheat to raise my rating so I have left them to figure it out. But they have raced with me and know that I am slower than average. But one thing they should know then; is that I am not cheating! I can't say the same about them however, because I have seen things (and been a victim of a few) in the first few Endurance races I did participate in with them. The very things I have seen in these videos in fact.

I am disappointed in them and extremely disappointed with Kunos. I don't see any point in participating in such a competition system until this is addressed. So... no more DLCs or financial support of any kind until these things change. Sector3, I will talk with myself. Pathetic.

I know right! But now we who are slow, have to question how slow we are. We don't have a legitimate average from which to judge!
