VR racing - No virtual Mirror?"?

Hi guys

Cant seem to sort this issue out. When i drive in standard mode i have no problems, virtual mirror shows just fine. I use nose cam to drive, so i dont have nay other mirrors

When i switch to VR and nose cam, there is no virtual mirror. Rest of the HUD is all there, but no mirror. I have tried all different quality settings, disabling it, enabling it, no luck. I dont see it in Practice, qualifying nor race mode.

I know people say it doesnt work when there are no cars on track. But mine just doesnt work, ever.

VR and bonnet camera?

May I ask what is the point of VR if you don't simulate real life?
You simulate reality, put a seat on the bonnet and find it weird that you don't have mirrors.

Why does it matter which came i choose to use? You drive your way, i will drive my way mkay?

As i said the non-VR mode has virtual mirrors, VR doesnt. Any ideas why?

Because you are supposed to look at the car mirros and not to a static virtual mirror, also because it gives more immersion as you are using VR, my guess is as it is for immersion virtual mirror "kind of" (just "kind of") kills this part of the immersion...

It may be a bug. Probably nobody tested that use case. It's not a very common use case.

VR is about immersion. You have zero immersion in bonnet cam in VR. Just use a flatscreen instead, and have superior comfort and also be able to see your wheel?

there a good few cars with a mirror or some with a rear camera,depends on the car in vr

No bug. Virtual mirror is disabled in VR for various good reasons.

Reading this made me as frustrated as you. I am having the same issue. The cockpit mirrors are ♥♥♥♥♥♥ anyway. Id rather have the virtual mirrors, but they don't work. Why does it feel like Assetto Corsa doesn't care about VR users?

It's a video game, no reason virtual mirrors should be disabled in any view. If someone want to use chase cam in VR they should be able to. And virtual mirrors should still be available. If you personally don't wanna use it, fine, but others should be able to.

Probably the same type of people who will be against color blind modes, because colors aren't true to life anymore...

the virtual mirror on some vehicles is just above your head on the roof console,theres a couple on the sides of the doors too.

I'll test this out later, I like bonnet cam in ACC as well, play the game however you like. If I'm playing dirt rally in VR I always use bonnet cam as well, better sense of speed and you still get the depth immersion of VR. It sounds like a bug, or the positioning of the mirror, will test and get back to you.
