It helps. the setup for the 718 helped me to gain 2-3 seconds.
thanks for not pointing a gun on me and force me to buy a setup.
The point i wanted to make is this community is sharing these setups for freely for decades and somebody is coming up with selling them even they are a taste of drive which changes driver to driver. You can always find a free setup to build your style upon it.
You will never know if a free setup would gain a 3-4 secs for you maybe. I just see this opportunism. If they would come up with a mod it was sellable but; setups? I dont think and i wont be ok with this idea.
Rubbish. This statement has been debunked more times than I can count and it tends to be said by the rookies that haven't even learnt how to trail brake yet
The CDA setups have had a team of people working on them individually for about 40 hours each setup. So that's 40 hours saved not having to sit there lap after lap and do it yourself. If it gives you the 'window' to get your car tuned, then all you need to do is tweak it to your liking to really get it going.

You will always find more time in the driver than a setup. A setup is more to your driving style more than X setup is 2 seconds quicker than Y setup.
10 years ago when i joined Iracing, the forums were more widely used (despite a lower membership) And, you could easily get half a dozen different setups posted every week for the more popular series.
Now, it's much more difficult and where people do ask they rarely get an answer.
I find it quite sad that the sim racing community is moving in that direction from where it was. What's even more sad is that it's now becoming accepted as the norm. similar to loot boxes, and the answer to those is also 'you don't have to buy them'
Although, in this case. If you want to be competitive online and don't know how to make a setup. Chances are your going to. Especially as we've already seen so many people suggest it makes them quicker.
