Coach Dave Academy?
Had somebody tested the Setups from Coach Dave? I bought the setup for Monza to the Porsche 911 II GT3, but it is very hard to drive and the car feels totaly different. Have here some of the users experience with that?

i got the pack , its really good , but those are setups for good drivers, dont get me wrong i got a really hard time driving the porsche with those setups, you need to put a masive amount of hours to drive the porsche no matter the setup.

yes you need to check the videos he has posted on youtube for each car/track. driving style adjustments are required. if you can set the car up any better, then you shouldnt have wasted your money. the setups are definately faster

I got the Porsche pack and it absolutely made my lap times faster. Bear in mind, if there have been any recent physics updates and they haven't updated their setups, you will likely have problems.

I got all the Coach Dave McLaren setups, mainly bought them out of curiosity, and I think they are really good. Knocked off a second or 2 here & there, saves me time messing about or worrying I don't have the optimum setups.

i bought the aston v8 pack, improved my times easy by 1-2 seconds, the cars are setup generally on the aggressive side for raw speed so you do need to get used to the car again, you have to keep in mind the setup can only go so far, you will need to be a good driver with good knowledge of the correct lines around the track in order to take advantage of the setups. most people think they know the correct line for every corner but most have a lot to learn, if your entering or exiting the corner wrong the setup cant correct that, but what it can do is give you a stable platform in corners for max corner speed and exit speed.

im far from a pro driver but the setups certainly help, they are a good platform to start from, most of the time if the car is too twitchy or hard to control you can add a bit more wing or up your TC 1 notch and get control again. i know a lot of the setups are set up around TC 2 which can be a bit twitchy for some if you less than smooth on throttle out of corners.

So I bought the set for Ferrari (I wanted to give it a try but mainly I wanted to support David, I love his streams) and instantly clocked my PBs wherever I tried. The car is so nice to drive with his setups, it is very settled. Especially Kyalami 1:42.3 made me happy, even when I made a big mistake in the last corner.

No offense to Dave and good luck to him, but in general ACC there is barely .5 to 1 sec max between agressive setups and pretty much all you can find in setup.

People saying they bought a setup and found 2 seconds seems a stretch.

Aye, I surely haven't expected gaining seconds. I would get to similar times with stock setups too, I am nowhere to alien or pro times yet. It is all about routine and practice. It's more about the behaviour of the car, I remember in times of LFS some ultrafast aliens drove totally undriveable setups.
It's the handling differences what make David's setups worthy for me. I have never driven a race GT3 car (just some WRCs, circuit race Ford Fiestas etc) so I want to try to drive the car how it was set up by a pro driver (especially when David races Ferrari) to get the idea. I admit, I am an immersion freak when it comes to all this stuff.
Some stock aggro setups absolutely don't suit my rally style :D, I would especially point out the McLaren 720s and Brands Hatch. Paddock Hill and Clark were my nightmares with stock aggro.

I looked it up the other day and I suppose you do pay for the knowledge of pro-drivers in the end. But 7€ for a single setup or 25€ for a single car (all tracks) sound only worth it when you play a lot.

0.5-1s can mean the difference between pole and 10th, nothing to be scoffed at
