Intermittent stuttering issue
I have this intermittent stuttering issue I can't seem to pin. Every few seconds (it's random, but maybe once every 4-8 seconds or so) I get a hard stutter with several dropped frames. The length of each stutter varies; sometimes they can be so severe they cause me to lose my line, crash, go off course etc.

My frame rates are actually very very good. Even on Epic settings I get 80+ fps in most scenarios. On high it's 100+. However the settings do not matter, I get the stutter whether it's 140fps or 60fps. Limiting fps to any amount, vsync on or off, does not make a difference.

The most frustrating thing is it seems totally random - sometimes I'll boot up the game and run 100% stutter free for an hour. The next time I boot up the game and run the SAME EXACT race (car choice, weather, etc) it'll be stutter city.

PC specs:

9900k (not overclocked)
2080 Ti (not overclocked)
16gb
Win10 Pro (fresh install)
all latest drivers
game and OS installed on m.2 SSDs

playing with a Logitech G27

I have no anti virus or any other processes running that would interfere.

I am using an Alienware laptop with an Intel i9 and an Nvidia 1080 video card. I used to play at 4K and decided to go to 1080P which basically eliminated any shutter. With this new update I am getting lots shutter even at 1080P. I will try to update my driver.

Worth trying at this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xsXFUVYPIx4 Not specifically for ACC but should still work.

It's an ACC specific issue.

Hey Phoenix I had the sane issue start recently. I mucked around with vsync and fixing the frame rate but it didn't fix the problem. Then I opened the Nvidia control panel and reset all global and individual 3D settings back to default and the problem stopped. The game was running smoothly again. No idea if I had a setting that was causing a problem or if the simple act of resting everything cleared a rogue variable but worth a try ?

The other cause can be the Logitech wheel ( which I also have ) and there are fixes for that too. To test if it's the wheel unplug it and play acc without it .
