Cew Chief Mod
Many of you will know about the superb Crew Chief app, but I suspect a lot of newcomers to ACC won't.

It's basically a detailed crew radio sim that gives you an engineer and a spotter. It works as a separate app running in tandem with your sim, but syncs seamlessly with the action on screen. The quality of the voice recording is really convincing, and it comes with a selection of international accents.

It can be a little tricky to get started, but if you follow the instructions in the Help and Getting Started tab, you'll be fine. It's worth pointing out that you shouldn't need to do anything other than copy and paste the file that the Help tab tells you to. After that, press the Start Application button on the top left and start ACC.

One final point. The app works with pretty much every good sim on the market, So if you have AC, ACC, rFactor2, iRacing etc, you can have the same experience across them all. Just choose your sim from the dropdown before you start the Crew Chief app.

CC is a must have for me since i've heard about it the first time and it does awesome job in ACC. Not a biggest fan of built-in radio in the game. CC is way more customisable, uses speech recognition and much more. Definitely worth, devs of the app are doing great job.

Does it penalize your fps running in the background?

It doesn't seem to make any noticeable difference on my system. Highly recommended. It also works in many other racing games which is an added bonus.

As Maelstrom says. It's very light on the system. That's just as well, because I find I'm quicker when using it! The spotter's guidance makes a huge difference, to the point where wing mirrors and aids such as TrackIR become much less necessary.
