ACC Loses forcefeedback after restaring the game (multiple wheels tested)
I still have problem with ACC not giving ffb to the wheel after 1 restart of the game. It is completely numb. Only windows reboot fixes the issue until I restart ACC again.

- It is not the wheel, I have recently upgraded from a G29 to a Clubsport 2.5. Same issue with both setups. ONLY in ACC. No other racing games have this issue.

- Yes I have reinstalled the game multiple times and even deleted "competizione" keys in regedit and deleted folders in the AppData folder.

Please help me resolve this problem, I can't be the one person having it?

I get the same thing. Also if you start another game that uses it then exit that and then start ACC then ACC does not get FFB. The only solution I have found is to reboot.

Yeah but rebooting is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ workaround. Kunos needs to address this issue asap.
You'll have to report it on their official forums if you want 'em to help you out:

Are you sure you are plugging your wheel/pedals into a USB 2.0 slot, or 3.0? I realize this post is old, but perhaps it helps.

Hasnt happened to me yet but as the other guy said for support you need to post in official support forums. The devs dont post in the steam forums.

I verified that the USB-port I am using is in fact 3.0. Though I use an extension cable, this shouldnt cause any problem. Especially not in the way of the FFB disappearing after restarting the game.

Well, there are a couple options. I would try USB 2.0 and also get rid of the extension cable.

Please explain how you think that using a usb 3.0 could cause the problem that after the first restart, the FFB disappears. Im becoming more and more convinced that this bug is purely software-related.

Have you tried to use a 2.0 port? If not then why wonder? There is a lot of wondering that comes into play when computers are involved. Unless you talk to the engineers you will not really understand why certain things are the way they are. Why do some web pages only work in certain browsers? They should all work correctly, but they don't Just trying to help. First order of diagnostics is always to eliminate possible points of failure/cause.

My Fanatec does this as well, but not just on ACC, but does it on Rfactor 2 sometimes as well. I just reboot. No biggee.

I too am wondering the logic behind the suggestion to use USB 2.0 instead of USB 3.0?

1. this works fine for all other games - I have 4 driving games with no problems
2. FFB works fine for ACC if it is the first app to use the wheel after a restart

Point 2 on its own could suggest something outside of ACC causing the issue, but point 1 seems to show that it is very specific to ACC and so a software issue.

So you also have this issue with G29, so perhaps it's a motherboard and ACC thing, because you mention reboot. That's a wild guess. And if that's the case, I can also gamble further and say they will eventually fix it. Cause ac devs support so many pc hardware. They are very clever or experienced pc devs.

Thank you! Atleast someone who can use reason and logic :D
