Sound in ACC is sooo much better than AC. Remember that ACC is trying to get across the raw mechanical sounds within a real race car with bare metal everywhere. AC is mostly dealing with cars with sound-proofing and sound like a normal car as you get them from the showroom. ACC does a great job of sounding like the inside of a real racecar. You should book an experience day somewhere to hear what it is like. The rawness ACC brings to it is very realistic. It could be improved but it is way ahead of AC in this regard.

I used a MDR ZX110 or amazon basic headphone before. ACC sound was much better than AC, until I bought a MDR V6. Now, I can hear a lot of detail sound in AC. I think AC require a good enough headphone or speaker. A good equipment also helps sound in ACC, but just not as much as AC.

I'll say that ACC is live music and AC is studio recording. Both are good in different ways. But ACC with lots of environment sound is just more realistic.

Btw, some mod cars in AC still sound the same. AC offcial contents have better sound.

Something is wrong with your hearing. The difference between ACC and AC sounds are so huge it can't even be compared.

The sound In ACC is superior to me. I use high quality head sets so the details are very clear. I also use a buttkicker to enhance the feel of the sound. My chair literally vibrates like the actual car just idling. It's amazing.
