Like for example in Project Cars.
I am focusing on playing time attack as I am still learning different class car handling and tracks. Maybe in TA there is very dumbed down engine function as when I have gear on while pressing start race button then car stalls but as soon as I put off gear then engine is starting up on its own.
When I spin out out of a track on high gear and do not press clutch in the process then engine gets quiet but as soon as I put on neutral, engine starts on its own...
I have ignition and engine start button mapped.
So do we play other games versions or in career mode maybe there is such realism as stalling engine and ignition is mandatory to start the engine?
The reason to do this instead of letting the game do automatically it's because you can do it much faster than the automatic procedure. You can save you some precious seconds during pit stops.
First of all, check what buttons are set to Start Engine and Ignition. I recommend you map it to your wheel.
So, to the procedure:
1) Put in Neutral.
2) Press Start. You will see the power switch turn green in the HUD.
3) Press and hold Ignition for like a second or less. You should hear your engine running.
4) Use the clutch and put 1st gear and slowly take your foot from the clutch.
That's it.
I just realized something!
Why I am in AC Competizione forum? xD
I Own Asseto Corsa and I was mentioning it instead of ACC.
So maybe in ACC there is such realism in terms of car ignition but in AC there is not... WHY??
Developers dont give a damn about AC anymore it seems. What a shame!
