Hello,
Look in your antivirus program if access to C: \ Documents \ Assetto Corsa Competizione has been blocked, if so, release it.

Have a TM TX wheel and the game simply ignores the save command and reverts back to the "stock" settings (which can't work) everytime I exit, even after saving. In essence, it renders the game useless. Overall, I like the feel, but these controller issues are everywhere it seems.

If anyone has the same problem, here is the fix:

1. Check if you have Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione folder. If you don't have that folder after running the game, then either step 2 or 3 will fix your problem.

2. Make sure you have full access to your Documents folder. If you don't know how to do that, here is a quick and easy fix: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=90&v=ENHLLcoTQC0
This might just fix your problem, if it didn't read on...

3. In my case Windows Defender was the issue. It denied access from applications to write their stuff in my Documents folder. First i added ACC.exe so it can access the folder. That didn't help so i had to turn the whole Folder Protection off. That fixed this issue for good. Now i have the Documents\Assetto Corsa Competizione folder, and now it saves everything.

Here is the steps to turn off Folder Protection:
Open Windows Defender Security Center.
Select Virus & threat protection, and then choose Virus & threat protection settings.
Under Controlled folder access, turn it off.

If you have Windows Defender disabled and you use a third party antivirus look for something similar and turn it off.
trying to get this noticed by devs is frustrating. if you have this issue makes playing this game almost impossible.

For me, I had to go into Windows Defender and allow `AC2-Win64-Shipping.exe`
at `~\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Assetto Corsa Competizione\AC2\Binaries\Win64` controlled folder access.

if you are having issues with set-ups for specific cars, they are saved on a per car, per tack, basis. You can view this by going to documents > assetto cora folder > setups > then cars > then tracks.

I have another solution that allows you to keep controlled folder access active: Just go for the logs of recent blocked access, look for one that concerns ACC, open options and select "allow on this devide"

Make sure you move your steering wheel a lot if the dot is a to lol there you won’t be able to save it , once it registers the wheel movement it will save the FFB settings
