Game devs just tell folks to switch Steam Input off, but in recent months things have become so bad with steering wheels I can no longer directly use Steam to launch Assetto Corsa. If I launch game from Big Picture and use Steam Overlay it is obvious there are many bugs causing issues with steering wheels, the Rearrange Controller Order menus proves Steam Input can not detect steering wheel or even Xbox type controllers properly.
Steam large mode used to be a great way to workaround the Steam Input bugs in Big Picture (for years) but today Assetto Corsa refuses to use steering wheels, because Steam client and Steam Input is riddled with game breaking bugs.
Since I now need to launch my steam games from GeForce Experience for steering wheels to work, I refuse to buy any more driving games from steam store. Absolutely shockingly bad situation.
This is relative to all steering wheels and not just Logitech
It is obvious not one single Valve dev uses a steering wheel and pedals for driving sims/games.
Kunos never did fix ui in Assetto Corsa, and I refuse too buy ACC until they provide a better optimised ui for using steering wheel only. Having to reach for KB + m in 21st century is not needed or wanted.
So Valve can help and Kunos can help.

Your comment about problems with all wheels is wrong. My Thrustmaster wheel has worked with all of the Steam driving games I've tried it with without any special launch sequences (as did my previous Logitech wheel). I just start them with the icon on my desktop so I'm not sure what your problem is.
As for the UI, have you actually tried ACC? I do most things in the UI from my wheel.
I have tried to unisntall the driver, download the newest one there, i have tried some that i found that was a version older or two, i have tried everything i can think of and nothing seems to be working hehe
