even with my wheel set at 900 i never have to turn it past 360. and movements on screen match real life movements perfectly
My wheel's software and in game are both set to 900. Both wheels turn in sync but my soft lock is at 900 therefore my wheel continues to turn.
Other games DR, DR2.0, AC, AMS2 don't have this problem.
To get softlock you have to set the in-game to 0 and then adjust your wheel's software accordingly to match the car.
It's a swine
Because the "soft lock" of "wheel getting a bitt heavier but stil turning while the ingame steering not turning" happen, tho as mentioned before you dont need to go beyond 180° left or right even for hairpins (you actualy dont need to go beyond 135° left or right) meaning you will not even reach any car max rotation anyway.
for me i have just always done the normal 900 in drivers and 900 in game on the thrustmaster and fanatec wheel bases i have owned and it automatically sets the rotation for each car correctly.
i tried the other way as well it worked ok but not better and its just nice to not mess with it all the time.
one thing that might help is changing the steer ratio in the car setup in the mechanical grip tab lower will make the car much tighter in the middle and turn sharper higher will mean you have to turn the wheel more and also it will feel looser/lighter because of this.
Then go here to see the correct lock of each car.
