Oculus Rift S not working with ACC?

I bought the Oculus Rift S today for ACC - but i cannot get it working.. i am always in the Oculus homescreen with the virtual Desktop..but it wont change to VR

I have opened the oculus for third party apps in the oculus settings page
I started with the oculus VR mode ACC

what am i doing wrong? :/

It worked for me. But then, strangely, the Oculus Tray Tool hosed the whole thing. I now have to reinstall the Oculus software. The OTT doesn't seem to work as advertised or as expected. I'm trying to run the OTT without running Home, to save resources. Still, Home starts.

I believe there might be a bug in the Oculus software. If you get a black screen, shut down OH, unplug the headset's USB port, then try again. I'm not even sure you'll need to shut down home. Try simply unplugging the USB and plug back in. Of course you'll need for sure to shut down ACC and restart. It's best to run in Oculus native but ACC has worked for me in Steam VR, also.

I've had a similar type problem with the black screen after it first worked.

I restarted the PC .. since then it worked
