its a mix of the Sprint races and Endurance races competition (most known by Spa 24h)

BMW M6 GT3
Nissan 2015-2018 spec

Hungaroring
Zolder
Missing cars:
Honda NSX
Aston Martin
Audi (already in game but driven by AI only atm)
Mercedes (same as above)
Bentley Continental 2018 spec
McLaren
Lexus
Porsche
+ additional cars (Porsche CUP,Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Lamborghini Gallardo REX)
Missing Tracks:
Brands Hatch
Silverstone
Spa
Barcelona
All this above is just 2018 content
so far in Blancpain GT series 2019 there will be one new track added (Zandvort and Zolder removed)
and 7 new cars (most of them EVO versions of the current ones)
Game features will be
- Full 24h progression (night)
- Variable weather conditions (rain)
- More focused racing rules implementation
- Complete car roster for an existing championship
- "Minorating-like" multiplayer ranking
- Experiment with a third party engine in order to be able to spend more time and resources on gameplay rather than engine development/test/debug.
- Big effort to improve in the audio department
- UI fully navigable using input devices
- UI fully navigable in VR
- Driver swaps
- Chose to replicate a championship that seemed to be the most popular choice and request in AC1
- The obvious push forward in terms of physics realism
And nothing in that extensive list about career mode, not even the developer has spoken about or even previewed the career mode.
With so many other racing sim title already having GT3 cars in them, I will give this game 1 - 2 month before it starts showing signs of dying, career mode will save it, because that would be the only thing it has over the other sims.
"• CHAMPIONSHIP AND CAREER MODES: Assetto Corsa Competizione will include a brand-new Career Mode designed in collaboration with Lamborghini Squadra Corse and official driver Mirko Bortolotti – Blancpain GT Series champion 2017 – who will introduce players to the first driving tests, giving them precious suggestions to start their adventure in the Blancpain GT Series. This mode will allow users to create their own racing team to take on all driving tests and racing weekends with an astonishing level of realism and with the main objective of any professional driver: to win. Championship mode will allow to virtually reproduce the Blancpain GT Series Season in the shoes of one of the official drivers."
Your first post was fine, I have nothing against it, the thing is version 1.0 is out in Five Days time, and the developers have not even shown the career mode once ever since the game was revealed, there is no video no press preview of it or even the animated pit crew, the developers claim this sim will have.
Apart from better graphics, physics, weather, FFB etc! Also, most people don't seem to be too worried about "career mode".
It will on 29 May when the release version is available. Remember that this is exclusively the Blancpain series.
Their approach on single series pays of with real data from real cars, working with Blancpain teams and drivers and also Pirelli to make tyres model. So i guess a lot of GT3 leagues and people who main GT3 cars will move over to ACC.
I imagine there is a lot of features that aren't mentioned by Kunos and they were saying about some surprises. Just wait for full release and we'll see.
but i would us this than race on some out of date game.
But yeah, 11 tracks (Zandvoort added in summer update) isn't much. All depends how competetive side of ACC will be.
All the cars and track from 2018 will be on may 29, the rest of the car that are from the season 2019 will be as a free update at Q4 2019
the less the better.. just tell me how many tracks in AC have you driver on daily basis? couple of main ones..not even 11 i guess. Its hard to please people people will never be happy with anything..so there is no point trying to please them..devs have their road map and they follow it for what i am glad.. There is even cars from these 11 manufacturers on 2018 update that i will barely touch and drive try some and then go back to my favourite ones and enjoy every moment of it :)
It doesn´t matter on how many tracks you race on a daily basis. It´s the price! For a full price game I want at least a full price content. This what ACC does is not even worth the full price tag. Take a look at Project CARS and its content. It has a much larger car and track roster PLUS the devs of ACC don´t even tell potential customers what they get. They don´t give you a tracklist or carlist of what is available when this game goes out of EARLY ACCESS in 4 days.
Project cars may have more content but its not all at the same level of their better stuff and really none of it is close to the ACC level.
Having more crappy content doesnt make pc2 more attractive to me. Limited ACC content but you can race any car in any server and get a reasonably competitive race plus each car has its own strengths and weaknesses.
Physics and FFB really has never been an sms strength. AI in pc2 is horrible as is the physical weather effects. Theres a reason I have lost all interest in SMS titles after buying pc1 and 2. You may prefer this but thats fine, I would run EA ACC any day over current PC1 or PC2.
So using your school of thought Code Masters F1 series wouldn't be worth the full asking price because it doesn't have more content than the FIA F1 allows, cleaver thinking batman, maybe code masters should add Bathurst and Road America racing circuit to their official fia F1 the game series, just to bloat their content list.
Adding Project CARS to the mix is even insane, because Project cars although I like it, does not focus on single racing disciplines, like BTCC, F1 or the Blancpain GT series, it focuses on various racing disciplines, this is why you'll have a few cars and tracks from a wide range of racing disciplines and not the full rooster of cars and tracks in project cars.
