Any tips against pop-ins?
Driving with 16GB of RAM, i7 7700k@4,2Ghz and a GTX 1080 in FHD. I have good FPS, no stuttering or anything but sometimes there are immense texture pop-ins... Does anyone have any tips to reduce that?

It's a standard launch command for Unreal Engine that forces the engine to not stream textures during gameplay (streaming means they pop in as placeholders at very low res and then loaded dynamically). Basically all textures are loaded at build start this way. You can use this in all UE games that have this issue.

Try installing on an SSD.

Texture pop in is quite a common problem with Unreal engine.

set textures to epic, this might tone down the pop-in effect

Already had it on a SSD but will put it on an m2-SSD now, thanks.

Thank you! Did you try it and is it stable? I wonder if this command might cause graphic memory overload? However, if it helps to remove the blurry textures at start up it would be a nice touch up.:steamhappy:

I really notice only the shadow detail poppin in. Textures move smooth enough not to be noticed. Are you sure you are noticing texture poppins, since the game has a foliage LOD setting that controls the tree detail?

well I can at least see the textures being streamed into the game engine when I enter a new session. or for example going into the showroom for the first time. but there are no texture pop ins on my end while driving around the circuit.

Not sure if there is a setting for draw distance, but that could be the problem. Maybe setup a profile in the nVidiaCP and use custom settings for Antistropic filtering?

I tried it in EA and it worked for me, no overloads but I didn't try it yet on release. I also had this problem in Deathwing and with the same command I fixed the texture lod loding taking forever. I guess sometimes the game makes stuff load slowly even if you have a good rig, anyways for my taste it's terrible , I prefer to have everything loaded and ready at start. it might increase your loading times but after entering or starting your session you should be fine. Give it a shot and check the FPS counter.
Anyways I'm still convinced that UE is not a good choice.

Well, when I start up the game and go into the car selection, for example, at the very first moment the textures for the car us blurry and sharpens immediatley but its still noticeable.

It sounds accurate how Kelset describes it.
