if the keyboard isn't functioning make sure you click with the mouse on the game window because chances are you are playing windowed mode and losing focus by clicking outside the window makes keyboard unresponsive.
For Menu clipping with the cockpit you can use shift (or CTRL i forgot try both) and left right arrow to move it closer or further, if it doesn't satisfy you try putting res scale in potion menu to 101%. It will solve the clipping and get past game overrides to vr engine.

You have to switch to a different HUD mode which involves manually editing the HUD file. The result is a HUD which is not static but moves with your head movements. At least it's not hidden by the car. Only thing left afterwards is moving the hud to a useful distance using shift and arrow keys.

File to edit: vrSettings.json inside your Assetto Corsa Competizione directory of "My Documents"

Inside, change every line which refers to a "layerType" from 1 to 2.

set resolution scale to 99%, on 100% it's hidden by the car for some reason

turjn on temporal upsampling too if you put the res scale below 100

This. The list of VR key commands comes up at the beginning, but only for a few seconds. Monkey with the scale and position of VR menus and you'll get something that works.

Also: is there a file/guide with these commands anyone?

You can also press F2 several times I believe and it will pop up. It switches your hud and brings the VR commands up I think.

The game randomly changes the menu behind the car or spins the garage 180 and it ends up behind the car. You can start the game and press ctrl-space when the garage first appears and center the VR normally but the menu remains behind you. You can fix this by changing the 1 in to 2 at the file, but this requires you to properly set the size and distance of the menu layer or you can't see it all. When the menu is following your HMD you can't look the sides of it unless you turn just your eyes or it's too big. To get the game working like it used to, I've had to uninstall it completely, plus steam and steam vr, boot reinstall ACC and steam plus steam vr and it works like it used to. I don't know what triggers this glitch but the 1.02 update did it this time. Previous time it was like that after improper shutdown of the game. Definitely annoying glitch as playspace turn around or chapperone 180 doesn't help at all or the quick calibrate actions.
