Coop is a bit more complicated. A local, shared screen coop might be possible in the current game architecture, but for an online peer 2 peer connection multiplayer we'll have to wait for version 2.0 because a whole new code structure is needed.
I'm eager to play co-op too, so I'll do my best to make it work as soon as we get all the maps and enemies done :)
Thanks for the feedback!
As we have discussed it in previous posts and announcements, the game was originally going to be much simpler, with no intention to add a multiplayer mode. Turns out, the code structure for a singleplayer is very different from a multiplayer one and our attempts to make a workaround later in development didn't go as well as we thought.
For a proper multiplayer and coop modes, we need to rewrite the whole code, and in fact we did a few basic prototypes. It is our plan to work on a version 2 of this game, with a completely new and optimized structure ready for multiplayer versus and coop battles, as well as many other features.
I really appreciate your complete work with Armed to the Gears.
It's really a stunning game .
Any updates on the sequel by chance?
Definite +1 on the multiplayer.
