Release date change and some sad news

Hi everyone,

We decided to postpone the release date to Q2 2021. We worked really hard, and made a good progress, but end of year was a really tough time and we believe this is for the best.

The worst had happened two weeks ago, when my father passed away at the age of 73.
I had really hoped he would live to see the game released, and much more, but it was not meant to be.
I'm happy he got to see his grand kids.
The life must go on.

The year has been tough on everyone. We got a bit of extra though.
Most of our programming team got infected by Covid-19, thankfully without consequences.

On top of that, in 2020 we also had TWO earthquakes strong enough that they caused fatalities.

Quite the ride, but we survived, and are continuing our efforts to finish the game as soon as possible. We will keep you updated on the progress.

I am both optimistic and very careful about 2021, meaning it will be hard for it to be worse than 2020, but the experience had taught me that it totally always CAN :).
Let's hope for the best. Let us all have a great year!

73 isn't a bad age, but not great either as some live to a 100 and i know everyone wants there parents to live for as long as possible, i know i do, so feel for you and your family, my girlfriend lost her's at 59, non of us will live forever and we need to enjoy the time we do have, hope you had the time and didn't like many spend too many hours at work hoping to spend more time at a later date then didn't get the chance, i went out and bought a caravan at the side of my dad, so holiday with him every chance i get and every weekend i go for Sunday dinner, for no reason other than to see them both, take care and remember the good and happier times with your dad, and hope he didn't suffer.

I am so happy to hear that you are taking the time to spend with them, that s great. I had a long period where I worked the weekends, and was not seeing him, but luckily I stopped and we had some great time together. I just wish it lasted longer... But it is what it is. I'm trying to thing of the time we had, not the time we lost. There's sadness, but seeing his grandkids there is also joy.

I’m still watching the forums here from time to time. You all know what’s best, I’d rather it be a finished game than one that is rushed, which many are these days. I don’t think any of us that have been following this game have any issues with a postponement. Life gets in the way but still continues in the end. I’m on Linux now but Steam Proton will probably run this fine when it’s released. I couldn’t deal with the madness that is MicroShaft Winblows any longer.

Condolences on your loss and glad to hear you had time together before he passed on to his next journey in existence. My dad passed in 2017 yet the connection of his love through the memories we made while he was still here comfort me with the good times and his guiding wisdom.

We always leave a part of us behind and hopefully it is full of smiles.
