Videos aren't my jam. Is there any form of wiki, manual, or video transcript for us to read?

I am currently working on a guide to upload on Steam, it should include most of the basic information. However, this needs some more time.

Thank you. I am definitely interested in buying the game, but I am old fashioned and like to see "under the hood" a bit before I decide to buy. I like specific mechanics laid out in detail, not just some broad perspective from an opinionated youtuber/influencer.

That's an interesting way to decide on a game... if I had done that I would have been much more selective in the handful of games I have gotten. This game continues what a lot of other games are doing and have some elements of RPG in this game, much like the Endless games and their quests. I also find the process of discovering elements in a game to be fun and interesting, however there's no guarantee that it will be worth it. But sometimes it's worth it.

I have only had the game for a couple of hours. It seems pretty straightforward but the nuances are not so understandable. Aquisiton of certain skills or abilities are not clear. I would certainly like to see a good tips/tricks and strategy guide. Sure would make it quicker to really use it.

Unfortunately, I have perused 3 (or 5?) 'let's play' from vloggers who got early keys. Unfortunately they do not know what they are doing yet either. Building a farm on a strategic resource or research facility next to two mountains.

I have been trying to learn how to play on my own by reading the game text and experimenting. Unfortunately I have three different factions started (human first as was suggested by developer) and my latest with the Hirokken. All medium defaults except biomes after experiencing desert and "ancient". I chose Ocean for my Hroki's .. funny .. it looks like a lush green planet. LOL

Anyway.. all three games I progressed as a warmonger because its easier than AI politics. Anyway, I got to the point that I pretty much dominated the planet and was making my way to head into space.

With the Hroki, they have no settlers so I decided that I would just find where other factions were building and take their cities.

Just before I can start making my way to space... the game just freezes. the little circle in the lower corner keeps going round and round like a stinking Cheerio. >grrrr<

So I guess its the shelf until this game gets fixed. <sigh>

Hi nabob57, are you talking about the end turn getting stuck and locking the game? This issue could be fixed by loading a savefile (I recommend setting autosave to 3 turns anyway) However, we also released a fix for this issue and many more in a nice and chunky patch yesterday :) Enjoy

That sounds great, I'll be looking forward to seeing it!

Hi Jodet, I appologise for the minor confusion but the 'guide' has been available for quite a while! It's almost due for an update because of all the changes to the game in the meantime.

You can find Nyanskii's video guide in this pinnned Steam post, it's not a Steam community guide as you might expect :)

Thanks for the video.
It has a lot of influence on my decision on whether or not to buy the game now.

One of the big things I think it'd be useful for new players to know is that there are build queues per district, not an overall singular one. For instance, you have to build a Military District, then click on and build military units from there.
