I am also curious myself how high cards upgrade to, and if there is a better way to get the materials for them.
I find Galleo very clunky, but I almost always use Copernica.
I was building around getting the most out of epedemic (Cost 1, pick a target, all targets get their status effects and the duration on those effects is reset to 3) so trying to be capable of inflicting every status.
If you are redrawing regularly once you've got a status on anything it's possible to maintain it on everything indefinitely.
This team can drop poison, burn & confuse as cog gaining cards, confuse then epedmic so half of the enemies actions are directed against each other from the first turn is a cracking opening.
It can also drop poison and paralyse for free, though in slightly more complicated ways. Poison through the twins weapon and paralyse via Orik comboing the results of the 0-cost card that adds precision strikes to his deck.
If you're willing to pay for it you can also put out bleed, blind, and sleep.
Sleep is a power move. If you get sleep + epedemic down and have avoided poison and burn then you've not only won, but you've won with the chance to take as long as you like to fully heal off Orik's regenerate.
Sadly some bosses are immune, but statuses are good against bosses - especially ones that deal damage based on max HP like bleed and poison. Also the twins one cost curse does bonus damage whenever they take damage, which includes bleed and poison. Which is keyed off their max HP. And also triggers every time for multiple hit attacks like Orik's X card or flame pillar. Which in turn are also taking advantage of delivering multiple statuses to tag pandora's box more times for extra status effects.
Also bosses really struggle if they lose or miss their actions. Almost nothing is immune to blind, including the final boss. A surprising number of them aren't immune to paralyse. Nothing is immune to losing an action to stone mask. If your damage is coming from damage over time and your healing is coming from a party wide regenerate then slowing things down like this benefits you a lot. (At least until the arena fights with the time limit)
Between bosses missing due to blind, losing actions to paralyse, missing due to the twins evasion card, losing actions to flinch, losing actions to drawing a joker and taking damage instead and the mage throwing up shields whenever she drops three in a row you don't take that much damage. For me Orik's healing was up to the final fight with only two healing cards in the pack.
This was on legendary, I'm not sure it'll work in NG+
either 4 of steam punch or 4 water bullet
1 fixer
1 Guillotine fist
1 Over Charge
1 Quick fix
paired with capernica using Arcane Detective his damage threshold is pretty outrageous more than a few times he has wiped the board of enemies with overcharge at 10 gears and both overcharge and Guillotine are unreal damage vs Bosses usually upwards of 3k+ for overcharge and 5k+ for Guillotine
That said, Gallieo, Copernica, and Armilly can basically handle most situations, and also hit like a runaway freight train.
