The speed up function is great, I'm happy they added it but it makes the animation where you're just standing still and moving a bit look too fast. It's too bad it doesn't just speed up combat and movement instead of making your bots look like they're hyperventilating.
Edit: I just did a fairly long level twice and I'm somehow still missing one treasure. I really don't want to miss anything, but at the same time I'm not very interested in going through the level a third time and clicking through all the dialogue again. It really is the little things that make a game great - or not-so-great. Please, please allow us to completely skip all dialogue, as in with a check box at the beginning so just have to search and fight instead of the constant esc key or right clicking to bypass *SOME* of the dialogue, when going back through a level. Yes, esc or right click doesn't even skip it all... sometimes the option doesn't even come up.... I like the gameplay, but I'm so annoyed because I don't want to keep re-playing the levels.
Funny, "SteamWorld Heist" has a great system for revisiting levels for items and experience: randomized rooms, easy change of characters, and many opportunities to "fast forward" through animations by right-clicking.
Absolutely. Just played a couple levels where I found everything or there was nothing to find and I didn't feel annoyed in the least. I dread the next time I don't get 100% of the secrets.
I agree with everything that Macdallan and Tuxdelux have mentioned. Hidden levels are fine, but redoing a level is painful.
I should also mention that Level 1 was my where I have been unable to find the hidden level or treasure (I am at 67%). A "Hidden Level" Guide would be good for this game. Obviously, I am not the person to create it. :)
