8 hours in, amazing game
I wish they add more planes in the future
Yeah, but compare the detail as opposed to Car Mechanic Simulator. Imagine if CMS was like plane mechanic simulator!
It's exceptionally fun getting to know the new engine you know nothing about.
I thought I encountered the bug once, by the way, when the engine refused to finish - until finally discovering a tiny ring which I haven't noticed.
Sure, some may call that frustration, but I even then I'd never switch from expert mode
Well it’s 'fun' because it’s a game.
I’m a car mechanic. I fix and rebuild because I have a tactile feel for components, plus I see in real 3D. I also can manually move components to find broken or seized parts. I don’t need to strip an engine down to just pistons to find a seized water pump or bearing. In these games you *cannot* rotate any component or see water/oil leaks or test for compression (broken piston ring or worn bore). Likewise you cannot see burnt oil on a spark plug. Etc,etc...... There’s nothing remotely comparable to real vs game. Therefore the only challenge in using expert mode is you like stripping the plane apart for the sake of it. In real life you would visually, audibly, use olfactory senses or via diagnostics. Find the problem. Stripping an engine costs time and a LOT of money. You just don’t go pulling it to bits, ever! You would fire an engine up if it had a misfire, check electrics, fuel. But not rip it to bits like a blind man. It’s fun for the gamer that wants to play like that. Personally I want a sim where you can actually rotate engine components, start the engine listen for broken tappets, timing chain loose, belt slip, bearing failure. Look for steam/water colour from exhaust (gasket failure or head warped) . Even more so after a rebuild. Remember it’s a game for everyone and it’s their choice to play as they want
