i am so glad i dont fix aircraft for a living...

so after search it appears to be a bug and you gotta mess a little putting the lines back on and switching modes until you can get the plugs on

Im facing the same issue, it wont let me put the plugs back in... no matter what I do...
EDIT: Ok figured it out, you can screw them in WHILE the wire is attached again! makes no sense but works atleast

Thanks man

the best ive found is place the actuall wire thingy on then screw the screws into the box that it connects too for some reason once that box is screwed tight you can if required switch between assemble and disassemble modes without removing the wire thingy again

after that you switch modes to regain the highlights for the spark plugs, then one at a time place in plug, put cover on same plug and repeat

It's easier to remove the whole cylinder assembly and then replace plugs on the benches.

What's *extremely* frustrating is that 1) you can remove the wiring harnesses and then remove all the spark plugs at once, but 2) to replace the spark plugs, you have to put the wiring harness on first (backwards procedure) and 3) then you have to screw each of them in one. at. a. slow. freaking. time. and then plug the connector to the spark plug you just screwed in before you can go on to the next plug.

This is an especially big wast of time -- not to mention horribly inefficient -- on timed missions where every second is important.

You should be able to put all of the plugs in at once, and do so BEFORE putting on the wiring harness.

This is a ridiculously stupid issue! I can't believe this hasn't been caught by the dev's! Especially since I encountered the inability to install spark plugs on my 4rd spitfire mission!
Rage Quit!

+1 bump. I agree. The spark plugs are problematic.
I did fix aircraft for a living.....welcome to the real world....stripped threads, broken fittings...corrosion etc etc
