Unable to watch all cinematic video
Neither the start of Epi 1 nor the opening of the game I am able to see it for all videos. Is all in black screen and only sound. Anyone knows how to solve it. I recently just made a purchase on this game. So i believe this edition is up to date and the config part for movie is also already fixed.

-You can change how the movie will play according to the type of CPU you have in the config.ini file:

To do this, you can go into the Config ini file and edit the line "MovieType=#"

The Config ini file is found in the below directory:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Nippon Ichi Software, Inc\Disgaea 5 Complete\[#]\config.ini

For Intel: Directshow will be used to play the movie: edit the line to "MovieType=1"
For AMD: Mediafoundation will be used to play the movie: edit the line to "MovieType=2"

If there is not a setting in the ini file, it will automatically change the settings to the correct one. The setting will also be reflected when the settings are restored to original settings.

If this doesn't work, try updating your codecs? Otherwise, set SkipMovie=1 in the config.ini to just not play the video. You can watch the opening movie directly from the game folder.

You might have that backwards. I have AMD and was having this issue and it was set to 2, when I swapped it to 1 it worked and I can see the cutscenes now.

If not, who knows. Either way either type can work for either AMD or Intel, good chance it matters more what codecs are installed?
