What Im I doing wrong?
So im trying to max cap my main units stats. Without any items or evilites he hits 20 MIl base. When I equip his items and then evilites. he is hitting the 45 mil/61 Mil for stats. Im not sure if im doing the items or the innocent wrong and it is driving me up the wall.

I have reincarnated him/Mastered all sub classes and given him max Shards/Extracts. So i don't know what Im doing wrong.

Im aware my gear isnt maxed. But when looking at folks talking about "how to max stats" there is never "have level 500 items" its always Shards for 10Mil. Master all calsses 10 mil. Then Reincarnation till about 20k stored levels. use raised flag and elite four and then make sure to have 100% more stat evilities and max aptitudes.

Would love if folks added Soft cap all items. Would save me tons of wasted hours redoing leveling. I R :steamsalty:

Do people really mention the stored levels for DIsgaea 5? Because they're not needed in the least. Nor is the raised flag unless you don't have the DLC classes.

Also, you'll want to maybe equip Eclipse Power and get extra stats from defeating item bosses, invaders and mystery rooms (best one is the rush hour room).

And remember that you can still boost stats in battle via braveheart and other stats boosting skills.
Yeah. Folks say its supposed to be like 19.5K but most folks say get 20k just in case for reincarnation levels.
I know eclipse power is doable but it is beyond slow due to "balancing".
Buff skills are good and all but i was wanting a natural stat maxer so im currently just grinding item levels now.

You will want to reincarnate 5 times at least for extra equipment aptitude. I assign all the points into HP as all other stats end into the 10M cap anyways.
Thanks for the Heads up/Tip.

Yeah pretty much what the first guy said, just be sure to get your Weapon/Armor skill levels to 100 (the higher your grade, the faster it increases). Even with high Aptitude, you need level 100 to get the most out of the item in question. Having the relevant skill level at 100 and Aptitudes at 300% gets the most out of any item.

(And if you need your Armor skill up, just get hit. A lot. The Mirage level is handy for this. Especially if a Sage angers them all via mass-attack.)

When making a high-level item, for the best result you'll want to set the difficulty in the Cheat Shop at 20 stars, the item stats will raise and reach the cap much faster due to this.
(Though this may be difficult to pull off if you don't have the item in question to boost your stats, yet. I suppose in my case i started out with a 0-star difficulty item, got it to 1.6M stats, then made another.)

Speaking of caps... While items tend to cap at 2M stats, it can slightly go beyond, like 2.1 or 2.2M. In theory, at 20-star difficulty, if you play it right, you can get a item to 1.9M or 2.0M stats at item level 2000.
My preferred method is getting special bonus until it caps, which is gotten from beating Item Generals/Gods (if i got any Dive-10's, i use them to hop from boss floor to boss floor), Item World Bosses, defeating Invaders, and defeating Mystery Rooms. After that i ussually level the item up to 2000ish or beyond.

It can go to the cap faster if the item's natural stats are already high, like the Trapahezadon (or however you spell it), or Hercules' Armor. So it's a case of determining if you want a fast level-up or extra stats at the cost of lower levelling, such as say, the additional movement from Barefoot X (or whatever exactly the item name was).

And if i'm not mistaken, putting in Innocents that boost ATK/DEF/INT/RES/HIT/SPD/HP/SP exclusively will also increase a item's stats faster as you level it. Or so i heard, anyway. Dual-stat Innocents don't seem to work towards this goal, though, only ones that boost a single stat.

Soft cap is 2M at 400 kill bonus, but hardcap is 2.5M at 500 kill bonus. The point of having 20 stars difficulty is to more easily raise the kill bonus.
@Carthief That helps allot. The thing that kept bugging me is i always look at stats and was confused as I have 100% boost from evilitys. I had the aptitudes and while no one flat out said "hey make sure to have leveled up gear" everyone kept going Max sub classes and do aptitudes and use shards and your good to go.

Like it was assumed and cause of that no answer was given for that. So thank you all for pointing out level up the items and i should hit my Cap goal as intended.
