There's nothing quite like Disgaea, but I guess it depends what you liked in the series.

Personally it's the fact that you can get massive stats that appeals to me, and I cannot find that in any other game.

Only played one fire emblem, and as far as I know, that series is a very strict rock parper scissor type game with perma death (not sure how three house is), so that really didn't appeal to me.

Thanks, but my post was really asking what you liked about Disgaea, not about me not knowing anything about FE: Three Houses.

Then I'm sorry to say, I know of no other game that does that.

Well, there are 2 games that are similar to Disgaea, they called Mugen souls and Mugen souls z. However, its a mix of Neptunia + Disgaea with its own mechanics and other things, and its also not a very good port, you can try it, but youre might not like it, especially after playing Disgaea.

Holy crow, how did I forget about those? I even have them, what's wrong with me?

Yeah, you do get very high stats, lots of big numbers everywhere. Both are pretty rough, though, and require way too much grinding to max out a character. Like, Disgaea makes that process easy enough, if sometimes long, but in Mugen Souls it takes so much grind to max out equipment it's not even funny. And the reincarnation system is pretty murky, too, especially when it comes to maxing base stats.

And don't even mention the grind to max the Peon Ball.

But on the upside, I liked the story (very Disgaea-ish I thought), I liked the characters (well, Chou-Chou at least), and I liked the art style. Could be fun for a while.

You also have other NIS games, like Phantom Brave which is also on Steam
And if you can get an emulator going, Makai Kingdom, Soul Nomad and La Pucelle

I highly recommend Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together, but primarily the PS1 version. The PSP remake had quite a few changes that I honestly think detracted from the game.
In TO:LUCT, you can:
Grind out stats via tarot cards and a limited number of consumables.
Dive into a 100-floor dungeon with strong/unique loot
Use the spells Necro and Retissue to roll a character back to lvl1 with their stats intact.
Create super strong weapons with the "Snapshot" spell
Combine the 2 steps above to create weapons with 500 in all stats

Honestly, I think Tactics Ogre for the PS1 is the closest to a Disgaea game you can get outside of NIS.

Closer to Pokemon in format, but Siralim 3/Siralim Ultimate (Ultimate isn't purchasable via Steam just yet, but you can get a Steam key by purchasing early via the dev's website). Only a team of 6, but the build variety is pretty huge, and you can play "endlessly"..
