Never at a Higher % sale rate WHY?
I was wonder why after this game came out a few years back it never have a sale that pass 50%. Furthermore, when I was looking at the sale history there was a time where this game did not have pricing on it from May 2,2018 to around Aug 17,2018, after that on Nov 5,2018 the game price also went back to none. From then on this game only have sale between 25%/40%/50%, so my real question is when or how long do I need to wait before this game goes on sale for 75%, and also what happen in the pass that make this game have no price at thoughs giving dates. For though of you might think I sound like I'm mad about these low % sale, I am not just wonder that all.

Most Japanese devs don't go on sale for more than about 30%
The reason it was so cheap in early 2018 was because the game was still on pre-order.
I doubt it'll ever go on sale for more than 50% for a good 8+ years if you're lucky.

Yeah I think (not sure) is developer's choice, you devaluate your product for one extra cash income, but doing so you're stating your game is valued as low as that.

It's been less than two years. This is quite normal. They're still milking the port and will continue until sales drop. Many games don't go on deep discount for years after launching while others go on deep discount mere months after (Hitman).

Honestly, digital distribution has changed pricing a lot. I'm still seeing games at, like, $40-$60 after 4 years. It's definitely up to the publishers/developers, but it feels like a lot of games just don't "lose" value like they did.

i remember reading some sort of strategy they know certain people will never buy a game unless it's at a discount and if they feel their product is still worth the value even after awhile they barely budge

sort of like rimworld i dont think ive ever seen it on a huge sale or a sale at all

Absolutely, yeah. While I'm happy that these companies may (potentially) capture more sales at a higher price, I do kind of expect a game's price to drop - albeit slowly.

It's a tricky one, really. There really isn't a one-size-fits-all answer.

My impression is that Disgaea is a very low-budget franchise. You want more Disgaeas? Cough up. And I gladly will for a new installment.

As for the old games - see the prices in PSN. A full-priced Steam release is a bargain in comparison.

The only really epensive game out of the series is Disgaea 3, where DLCs with a storyline cost twice as much as the game (and the game is very short). But we are yet to see if NISA will bring us a remastered joy of Mao's scientific "Mua-ha-ha-ha".

Yeah, Disgaea 3 DLC was ridiculous. I think I grabbed whatever freebies they wanted to give out, and ignored the rest. Of course, after the Sony hack back in the day, I didn't trust them with my credit card details, so...

Dang people cheap these days, I saved up and paid 50-60 dollars for the last disgaea I played D3! you can get it for $20 on sale.... lol I made $20 in a month just from crappy no effort amazon affiliate links. You could probably get $20 at a stop light if you wanted it bad enough, 20 is not a lot of cash man lol

Hey, man, if you want to send along some cash...

Seems you've got a pretty high gaming budget, maybe you'll share. LOL.

You will just have to wait my guy, "patient gamers"
i don't think we will see 75% for a decent time; I know 1 and 2 have hit 75% a few times
But 40-60% range is more reasonable area; Also most Jp games ive got on sale 50% plus within 2-3 years. The only one you have to really have to Watch out for is Koei tecmo. also if youre a humble monthly sub watch out for games on sale on there with steam keys can get some fatty sales up to like 80%, thats how i got this game for like 65%.
This game is 60% with humble monthly discount right now for 1 more day even
