Confused about curry recipes

I have read several posts that suggest using 100 thimbles as the second ingredient to give a 100% crit rate. When I use them it seems to get atk a bonus. Do I have to wait the 100 days for that effect to kick in? When I made a test Curry and immediately ate it, it only gave attack up. Does using thimbles still work for crit rate? Please help me clear up this confusion. Thank you

No, not as the sub-ingredient 1 or 2, you've misunderstood.
The 100 thimbles or other weapons must be the others ingredient to provide the +100% crit rate, not the sub 1, not the sub2.

If you mean you only see ATK UP as the curry effect in description, that is normal because the crit rate up is only shown on your character stats.
The curry effect shown in description is determined by the main ingredient and the two sub ingredients. The notorious crit up effect from others weapon ingredient is like a hidden bonus. Other than weapons, recovery items can give small amount of HP bonus as others ingredient.

I think waiting for 100 days only makes the effect last longer.

100 day curry lasts for 100 battles. 100 weapons, like thimbles, gives 100% crit chance.
