So Fatal Slash is the secret to Land Decimator?

Because of Fatal Slash, is it recommended to use a fist or a gun for the speed boost?

No, it's pretty bad since death blowed units don't give nearly as much Kill Bonus

Right now I just want to capture prisoners with megaphone and level my squads.

Kind of hard to get that last subclass star though.

It's really up to you. I like having a staff for if only 1 or 2 enemies survives I can just use a Tera spell. I would recommend against the fist, though. If you're not strong enough to do significant damage with LD, you're hurting yourself by giving the sage more counter attacks.

Also, you shouldn't JUST be using Fatal Slash. Combine it with twin head dragon unique, a supporting sage with the saber cat's "nullify ally damage" using multi attack, and the nekomata's "attack again if an enemy is under 10%". Throw a maid in there also with saber cat evility for tea time if you like, but with that setup you'll be hitting 4-5 times per turn with 30% chance for deathlow.

I'm not using fatal slash at all, and not feeling the lack of it really. Just pump your sage's attack as high as you can, slap Magic Conversion on her, put Twin Heads, bring a Maid or two (Or any amount) with the sabercat's Softening Blow and you're pretty much set to level something.
